Bro, there's not much coming back from this :

quote:

I’ve shot them in the butt, hindquarter, neck, guts, shoulder, no man’s land, at every angle imaginable. I got fed up of passing deer waiting for that perfect shot.

just lay low and hope it blows over

I hear ya, my co-worker says he overheard 3 hunters talking about it at Presley’s and he inquired about it, but they had just heard something too. Sounds like a lot of hearsay, probably the same buck?

I will keep my ears open, but my place is right between LR road and where this deer was killed (CC road) , between my neighbors and friends I would like to think I would of heard of another massive buck itaken from this area, but you never know

Tyler? Is that you? Congrats on a great buck

Shot one through the ear and shot his right antler off. That wasn’t on purpose though. His antler is tied to his skull mount.

I’ll keep doing what I’m doing. It works for me. Not really worried what others think at all, I never have been.

The end of the day he did what he thought he had to do to kill a giant buck and it worked. He will now get credit for killing the largest whitetail in Walthall county.

You should see the 115lb basket rack 10pt I killed at a South MS WMA a few yrs back. Supposedly the state transplanted deer from Mexico back in the day and some old timers swear the genes still run in the deer today.

It's the dying on the hill defending it that amazes me. Stereotypical LA deer hunter (no offense to my fellow ethical guys) but this is what gives our state a bad name.

Can’t kill a deer deader than dead or could you?

You guys are making it sound like I’m not recovering animals. I’m recovering these deer without dogs or drones (which I’ve never used a drone for recovery).

You haven't been hunting long enough, or you haven't shot enough deer then. Shooting a deer thru the arse intentionally is a dumbass move and displays a level of greed and lack of ethics that says somebody didn't teach you the respect you should have for hunting.

Can you tell us where you hunt public lands so the rest of us can avoid you in the woods?

Well over 100 deer killed in roughly 35 years of hunting.

Can’t really fit anymore shoulder mounts or skull mounts of decent deer in my house taken from public and private lands in Louisiana and Mississippi.

You guys are making a mountain out
of an anthill here.

You do you and I’ll do me.

At least they weren’t running from dogs when you shot them in the arse or guts on purpose.
