I agree. I watched some women’s street skating from Tokyo and was just embarrassed for them. 80% of what they tried was a fail.

I coached track/xc in the NAIA which is the only collegiate division that sponsors the race walk and we had some race walkers on our team. I did gain a small amount of respect for it watching them. Having said that, race walk. It’s just a miserable event to sit through. Almost no athleticism involved

Steeplechase is always interesting. It looks like the type of race we got in trouble doing as kids.

Steeplechase is a wonderful, classic O-Games event. It belongs.
"Competitions" like break dancing, 3 on 3 BB, etc do not belong.
Race walking has a long history in the Olympics, but it really is a silly event.

The road race was awesome. You get to see the whole area. Make sure you watch it recorded so you can skip a bit. The women’s ending was epic. USA stole it with 2km to go. Awesome. First medal in 40 years.

Dressage.
Scratched the surface of the Dressage world years ago and the level of politics in high level competitions is ridiculous.

I'm going to submit:
Mixed 4x400 relay. It's just such a crap event.
1) if America wanted this event - it's a US Gold medal by a lot, but we prize the men's 4x400 and the womens 4x400 titles more. And put the best 4 there
As it is, it took an amazing run by Femke Bol to grab gold but that's the point .. Netherlands went all out to get that gold knowing it's not likely to get it in the solely mens/women's race.
2) after the visual of Michael Cherry just blowing past the polish woman so dramatically ...they altered the format so that that visual can't happen again. If you are going to run it... Let teams decide the best rotation for them ( which I think would ultimately be FFMM ...any woman on the anchor leg is going to get just be extra incentive for chasing down)

I've tried watching the Judo matches on 2 occasions and both times I changed the channel. Bored to death watching 2 people tug on each others clothes and the only physical harm I saw was when a 300+ lb. woman dropped atop her opponent and put her to sleep.
If you go into watching that crap thinking MMA type action, you're just kidding yourself.
