First world problem:
How hard would it be for peacock to have a section for live events featuring Americans. I could care less about watching over half the events that don’t include Americans. The whole point of the Olympics is to support your country so have a tab for that

Because NBC hates America.

Their "Gold Zone" trying to mimic RedZone is a disaster. Unwatchable.
They will show 10 seconds of one event, like lets say LeBron making a basket with no context, go to 5 minutes of commercials, show some woman shooting a bow and arrow.....oh, she missed the bullseye whoever she is? Then cut to cut to 15 seconds of guys treading water with a ball and then cut away again to 5 minutes of commercials.

Watch the Gold Rush channel. They are showing every US Gold medal event and a sampling of everything.
ETA: I've been recording both NBC & USA daily so I can go back and watch the events to bridge the gap until the NFL regular season.

I agree. After Coco Gauff’s match this morning, I was having a real hard time finding anything American to watch on Peacock.

Alright... enough bitching youngins.
Yeah...this was viewed as cutting edge. No need to wait for the main primetime broadcast to replay something. You could get 3 extra channels! 16 days of Olympics for what I believe was close to the 4 month Sunday Ticket price. And you still didn't have the choice to watch full competitions for niche sports like shooting and fencing. We didn't have that option for our TVs until this past Olympic cycle!
I think we can live with not having a filter just to show US events.

Me too, this year you can navigate the site without seeing spoilers, plus if you wait until the replay the commercials are already cut out.

Awful take. It is 2024. You can go to ESPN+ on a Saturday in November and find 40 College Football games and 100 College Basketball games you can click on.
During Wimbledon, you can click between 64 matches in the first round.
This is a simple concept that isn’t rocket science. Get some guy you are paying $55k a year to work at NBC sports build a schedule on one on streaming links of just events with Americans - prioritizing Team Events.
Get a graphics team to build a scrolling bar below with just USA performance schedule/results.

They could do a lot of things but they included a crap ton of usability for 2024. As I have figured out what all is avaiable and how it is laid out I have been hapier and happier with the UI. There is always a feature that some people want that a UI doesn't have. An American only feed isn't very high on my list but I can understand why it would be for some but the incerase in quality over the last Olympics is enough to keep me from complaining.

I've been watching GoldZone all day. I do not understand why they have breaks though.

Ive been watching nbc most of the afternoon and you would think this is the women’s Olympics.

Because women’s sports are scheduled before the men’s

Why is this so hard for people...
It's "couldn't care less".

How much less? A lot less or just a little? Could you care less at all possibly?

Yeah I was watching a replay of the swimming this afternoon and you could even jump ahead to whichever event you wanted without fast forwarding yourself.
