You hardly see any onside kicks be successful nowadays. Obviously isn’t going to change but it would be cool to see more successful.
A dumb idea that would be super entertaining would be to give the team kicking 3 guys and the receiving team 5 guys and they line up for a Hail Mary except it’s a punt and it’s whoever comes out with the ball

I will say whoever said to drink water beforehand that seems like such a no brainer but I do feel like it curbed my appetite enough just doing that one cup and going. Going to try and do some light lifting tomorrow and see how that goes. Thinking of doing runs 3 days a week and weights 2 for now

Emergency fund is stocked and my truck rate is 3.5. I think for me saving the interest money on my wife’s car is worth the few extra months of paying on my truck. It will be paid off in February so I know the light at the end of the tunnel is near

I just feel like I’m not having the same energy I used to when I was more active. I’m not obese or anything (6 foot 2 and 200 pounds) but I am the heaviest I have been. Plus I have knee issues from sports and the heavier I am the worse my knee is so I know I need to drop some weight.

Question is how do you do it? I have tried for years off and on going all the way back to high school and I just can’t get my body to get up and go. Plus I am usually starving when I wake up and ready to eat first thing no matter what I eat the night before. I really want to make an effort to get in better shape and looking at my schedule with young kids the morning is really the only option.

It’s cheap compared to some people I know for the same things but also at the same time imagine telling someone 10 years ago that’s how much they would be paying.

My wife is wanting us to plan a trip to Disney next year for the kids before they get too old and while we can afford it because we have made good decisions it is incredibly expensive as most everyone knows. But yet I see multiple friends going that I know 100% make half of what we make and I truly don’t understand it. My wife and I got in an argument the other day about it because I pretty much told her that her friends are either making money illegally on the side of what they are doing for their career, their parents are paying for everything or they are going into massive debt to go. And she didn’t want to hear it but it’s the truth. There is no way someone on a blue collar salary nowadays can do that

I can beat that. Yesterday went to zaxbys and ordered my sandwich on the app. Checked the 2 locations closest to me to see who was closest. They are 3.5 miles away from each other and one had the sandwich meal for 8.99 and the other was 9.99
Could have just been a glitch on the app I guess but still doesn’t make any sense

Something has to give. Wife and I got lucky coming out of school during the COVID craze with inflation rates low and got a nice house with a great rate. We have both changed jobs since then and started looking at moving across town in Birmingham to be closer to work daycare etc. we make over 100k more than we did in 2021 and yet when I look at mortgage rates now and approximate payment we honestly would struggle to buy the exact same house we have right now much less anything nicer. I know it’s a first world problem and we do have 2 young kids that everything is expensive for but we are both pretty frugal in general and take maybe 1 beach vacation a year.

All this makes me really think of people who don’t have great jobs and how in the heck they can afford to scrape by if they have kids. I honestly don’t know how they do it.

Maybe not the funniest but hasn’t been mentioned yet. Due date has some incredible scenes that make me cackle each time. The scene when Ethan walks to the truck and asks him if he is ready to apologize gets me everytime
