Book for Rehab

Have a family member that is about to enter rehab for substance abuse and gambling. Anyone have any recs for a book or books I could get them to read while they are there?

Greene was pretty old and dungy for sure. And I’m not mad at someone making money off it because hey free market capitalism is what makes this country great. It’s just crazy to me that people even clean trash cans. I get if something really bad got in there but I have lived in my house for almost 5 years and have 2 young kids with diapers going in it and have never once thought I needed to clean where my trash goes.

Dumb thing I saw today

Just passed a Trash can cleaning service truck… looked it up and it’s exactly what you think it is. People are paying $20 a month to have someone come and clean their trash can… or $65 one time cleaning. I can’t believe this is a real thing honestly. They advertise to make sure you don’t have “dangerous germs like bacteria and fungi” on your trash can. Like I’m trying to eat out of the dumpster like it’s a dinner plate. Has to be one of the dumbest things I have ever heard of someone paying for. Jackson Arnold’s NIL may be the only thing worse
Magwood is still a freshman and Pegues was a grad senior. Magwood also has shown flashes of shooting at least.

Not many b it was just thinking of a perspective of if a few of their upperclassmen that know the system came over and helped train our guys wouldn’t hurt

Anybody thinks this hurts us as far as having any transfers follow Golesh? Gotta imagine any skill players are gonna want to stay for hartline now

Not gonna lie…. Never knew the hashes were different in the nfl and college. Learn something new everyday but yea this looks like a fun offense to play in

Offensive timing

Posted by AUVet21 on 11/30/25 at 8:28 am
Don’t know if it’s the schemes or the players or what but I don’t understand why our timing on passing plays is so bad. I don’t remember the last time I watched us have a receiver run a crisp route get open and the qb throw the ball on target downfield and we catch and run. Our timing is always off. Either the ball is early or late. Over thrown or under thrown and the receiver is late back to the ball. It’s so frustrating that we can’t get that right when we are supposed to have these great receivers and can’t use them
I told my wife yesterday after watching that if you put Cardwell on this team we are elite. Just having a rim protector and “captain” defensively would dramatically change the ceiling for us. Couldn’t agree more on your points especially Jovic and Murphy. Jovic looks like he needs a year to get used to the American game and Murphy I thought would be a major factor for us but seems to be pretty timid

Wife and I have tickets and headed in now. Hoping we keep it close and show fight. If we get blown out I think that might set the tone for the next 2 weeks. If we can win or at least keep it a fight then we can go into Vegas with some confidence and make a run

In general it doesn’t put out as much smoke as some of the other options. Also it allows you to do cold smoke with cheeses and other stuff.

Smoke Tube

Looking at getting a smoke tube for my pit boss pellet grill. Anyone have any recommendations? Also any other accessories anyone likes for their pellet grills?
Yea he blew up everything good blakeney and brown had done. I’m a big Sumrall guy just because of seeing what he did. Also in his first year at Troy we lost to app state when it was college gameday on an absolutely crazy Hail Mary if anyone remembers. Then turned around and ran the table. To me that is the kind of loss that is a back breaker for a lot of teams and completely derails the season and he was able to get everyone back on the saddle and keep going.
Also haven’t done as much research but from what I have read when he got to Tulane the roster has been decimated by the portal so I know the team had been good but he kinda had to rebuild it too.
From someone who has watched troy all their life Troy was very good under Neal brown and then we were absolute dog crap under chip Lindsey. When sumrall came in he completely flipped the program in 1 year and we have been back since then.
Definitely one of the better shows I have seen. I would have to agree that the main characters are some of the more closely followed in any series I have seen. I thought the ending was appropriate and it tied everything back together pretty well. I know it took me 4 months to watch it but I can’t imagine having to wait and the anticipation of weekly episodes

I agree it’s real. I see it everyday but just cause it is real doesn’t mean it has to affect everyone around you negatively.

Mental illness

Posted by AUVet21 on 9/10/25 at 8:37 pm
With what I do for a living I see it everyday. There are tons of people every week that come in that can’t handle any kind of adversity and are barely functional in the real world. I guess all of these people used to be thrown into mental asylums. These are the same people that we see doing insane things like killing random people and not having any remorse. I know that drugs both recreational and prescription have played huge roles in this but I think we need to bring back the funny farms and send these people away. We don’t have to do experiments but at least will get them out of the way of society.
Plot is similar to the movie at the beginning but then runs from there. Movie is one of my favorites and the show was good but not as good
Was a professor of mine at Auburn during school. She was as good as gold and as tough as they come. First person that I know personally to be a victim of something like this and it definitely pisses me off that it appears to be just a random attack with no rhyme or reason. Not sure how the people that commit these crimes are walking among us and can be human.
Had her as a professor during vet school and she was a tough SOB. People always told the story that when she had her first kid during her clinic year that afternoon she showed up to clinics and they had to force her to go home. I can assure you one thing she did not go down without a hell of a fight. She will definitely be missed

Will probably do sandwiches Saturday and tacos Sunday. The tacos sides are easy but Saturday for sandwiches just didn’t know how everyone prepared them or liked them
