SURGINATOR storm surge sensor network is ALIVE! Debut deployment of this network of live streaming storm surge depth sensors will be deployed along central Gulf Coast ahead of #HurricaneZeta. Inspired by the need for live surge info, invented by @ChasinSpin @NatGeoChannel

They measure primarily Storm Surge (Depth, Temp, Salinity) in Hurricanes and Nor'easters and transmit data live via cellular. Also they measure air temperature, pressure/gravity waves and humidity and have a GPS locator.

Are you speaking past tense about something that hasn't happened?

Why did you put quotation marks around hurricane? Do you not believe it’s a hurricane?

Similar path to Cindy in 2005. Made very minimum cat 1 before landfall. Cindy was hardly anything on the north shore. I can’t remember if she was just weak sauce or if sheer tore her up a bit.

Cindy did a number in the NOLA metro. Power out for almost a week in some parts of the city.

I was in Metairie at the time and Cindy tore things up. Now in mandeville so we’ll see.

Just a 25 mb swing between runs. Seems real dialed in.

I happened to be in Westwego for the night that Cindy hit... for a low cat 1, it was no joke in that location.

What are the chances that the eye of this thing hits Lake Charles?

What are the chances that Yucatan rips this apart?

I wonder if my avatar will chase this one. Hopefully he ends up at the tip of Plaquemines Parish.
