There’s no real land in Timbalier Bay and it’s not really going to make landfall until it gets to Cut Off. By that point it’s already halfway to New Orleans from Grand Isle. Plus it’s moving so fast Zeta isn’t going to have much time to weaken before it cuts through the West Bank.

Crazy concept, I know. As connected as everyone is today, there is no reason to cancel this early for schools as far west as Kenner and Metairie today

Still have power uptown near the zoo but not expecting it much longer. Already getting some pretty strong wind gust.

I keep seeing concern about a big surge in LaPlace possibly blocking I-10. Wouldn’t the west wind from the front coming through push that water back out tonight?

They had surge from Delta that closed one of the Laplace exits. It was a good way off from covering I10 though.

If the track was further west, NOLA would be on the strong side of the storm.
