This is one of the best examples of her judicial misconduct IMO. She overturned a unanimous jury verdict of 2nd Degree Murder and gave the guy a negligent homicide conviction.
The case was appealed by the D.A.'s office and the Jury verdict was upheld.

He wasn't the only officer present. It is very unlikely that the reserve officer was unarmed.

I HOPE TRUDY WHITE BURNS IN frickING HELL FOR THIS.
Let me tell you about this Firefighter/Officer. He was my brothers friend hence my friend for the last 25 years. When my father had cancer and he would hear a call at my parents house to go help my father, he would leave whatever station he was at to go help and comfort him in any way he could. He didn't have to do that. But he did it because that's his character. He was a good and decent man. I'll be at his funeral to pay him back for the respect he showed me and my family in our time of need.

He was, it was separated from him during the driver's escape. There was a second officer on scene, but was probably unable to fire after the vehicular flee started, because it was in an open wall mart parking lot during heavy business hours where people were entering/ leaving the store.
