We are ALL innocent until proven guilty, and unless the gov't has a compelling reason to believe we'll flee the jurisdiction or otherwise fail to appear, bond is to be set in an amount that will ensure the defendant's reappearance AND reflects the the defendant's financial means.
The total dropped from $88,000 to $9,000.

Lana Rainwater, who was also arrested on drug and gun charges. Her total bond was set at $46,000 for those four charges

The Judiciary Commission of Louisiana handles judicial complaints.

Seems suspicious. I wonder if she does this type of thing often. Seems like she would’ve also lowered the chick’s bond too just so it wouldn’t have looked suspicious.
This shite is her MO.
If I had enough money to be wasteful with it, I would buy the 2 or three house right next to hers. I would offer them for rent to the people she does this for at the rate of $1 per month. I'd know going in the houses would be destroyed, but would love to put the problems she lets out right in her backyard.

What is the status of the Advocates lawsuit and has the "Sr. Judge Don Johnson" been notified of Judge Judy Whites' new scam ? Or, perhaps Johnson is in on this money grab as well ?

But normally if a guy is already out on felony bond and he’s arrested with a new felony two weeks later, he’s getting a high bond.

Why are his officers working so hard to lock people up only to have Baton Rouge judges set extremely low bonds and they're back on the streets in just hours?
Because bond is not meant to hold every accused person in prison until their court date, in fact, that's an illegal abuse of what a bond is.
This "fuming" is worthless without statistics showing how many of the people she set low bonds on missed their court dates and had to be warranted and then arrested again.

In reading the OP I assume guy arrested is dealer and Judge gets kick backs from dealers/suppliers to get them back on the street quickly

Don is no stranger to traffic court, TWICE he has walked away from accidents (apparently DWI) and been unavailable for 24 hrs. Bends or breaks the rules to save his own arse. I could never stand before him in his court w/respect.

With the lower bond, whats the likelihood of this guy saying frick it and making them put a bench warrant on him and get caught again?
So he tacks on a failure to appear charge and MAYBE forfeits bond when officers have to arrest him again?

If you read the rest of my post, you would see that I specifically asked for this statistic.

All up in arms over a possession charge. Look, think what you want about Judge White, but at the end of the day, who was this guy really hurting?

This is what happens when you elect judges

Just two weeks later, on November 28th, Zachary police arrested Franklin again. This time for illegal possession of a stolen firearm.

Hi Trudy. You are a worthless count.

I don't see the problem here. The judge is trying to keep non violent offenders out of jail. This should be done more often.

Possession & Distribution of Manufactured Control Schedule I --- $20,000
Possession & Distribution of Manufactured Control Schedule II --- $20,000
Possession of Firearm with drugs --- $10,000
Felon in Possession of Firearm --- $25,000
Resisting an Officer --- $10,000
You dumb frick retard. A felon in possession of a firearm while carrying schedule 1 and II drugs and resisting an officer isn't non-violent. It's his 5th arrest of the fricking year. How about you go live in a neighborhood with these type of people and let me know how that goes.

Trudy White is perhaps one of the worst things to ever happen to Baton Rouge.

Is she getting a kickback through relatives or something?
They would have their family member meet up with a family member or close friend of Trudy White and pay her cash for things like this. It wasn't like it was a ton of money for each bond she set low or reduced, but when you add it all up, it's a lot. $1,000 here, $2,000 there, so on and so forth and, well, you get the idea.
They loved it when they got Trudy White as a judge bc they know she can be bought with the dirty money.

Whose job is it to investigate judges sentences for legality and fairness? Is it the DA? Surely there is some type of checks and balances for this and judges aren't free to just sentence as they please, although it sure as hell appears that is exactly what Trudy has been doing for years. Isn't there some agency that we could publicly demand an answer from?
I'd love to see an answer to this as it seems guys on this board love to attack Trudy White as if the same thing isn't being done by other judges. Anyone familiar with David Leger and how he's dodged sentencing for nearly 4 years? How about Seth Fontenot of Lafayette only being sentenced to 5 years and all but 13 months of that being suspended after shooting 2 or 3 people (including someone whom you may also be familiar with from Lafayette, Arkansas QB Cole Kelley) and killing one? Why is everyone here so harsh on Trudy White?
