YouTuber calls BR the most arrogant and imposing society ever
He keeps repeating "traffic" and "imposing", yet he keeps circling back to traffic. I agree, our traffic sucks. And yes, BR is filled with a bunch of shitheads, but this youtuber does a poor job of explaining why people are "imposing", other than traffic.

which area is more cliquey, baton rouge or lafayette?
based on my time at lsu, i always thought BR and laffy kids were wayyy more cliquey than new orleans & north louisiana kids.
The only places that aren’t cliquey are places that have growing economies and lots of people moving into them.
And even those are cliquey, it’s just not as noticeable because there are so many new people who are naturally more open to meeting people.
Cliquish ness is just the way things are.

Does he every explain why he keeps coming back if he hates the city?

The fact that you reference "Cajuns" and BR tells me you little about the Cajun culture. Just to get started, very few "real" Baton Rouge people will consider themselves Cajun unless it somehow gives them an advantage, otherwise they'll deny it strongly.

It is only natural that Baton Rouge has ' groups' , every city does.
I was born in CENLA and have lived and worked in Boston and what used to be West Germany.
Boston is way worst as far as 'groups' than Baton Rouge.
The old Garden District group of BR is almost gone.
The private high school 'group' of BR is just funny.
People need to get over themselves.
This stuff only leads to Karenism and fascist HOAs.

I was researching a move to South Florida (particularly Ft. Myers and Weston as my wife's family is there) and this guy's videos pop up. Between his dumb jokes and his annoying fat wife, I closed it after 3 or 4 minutes.

The most class conscious people I have ever met were from Louisiana.
It was bizarre moving here where people don't put much stock in that stuff.

Patently false. Having gone to public schools, but having family and friends who attended Catholic, U-High, Episcopal, and Parkview, I find that social circles are still, well into my 30’s, at least, largely defined by what school you graduated from. Baton Rouge is extremely cliquey, and hs is one of the ways in which these cliques define themselves.
Maybe, but it's more because so many people born & raised in BR actually go to college here and stay to raise their own families. If you're in your 30's and have been hanging with a group since middle school, you have a lot of life together and a unique bond.
I suppose I'm guilty of this, as well. It's not that I'm not open to other people (I have lots of new friends I've met along the way), but I have an irreplaceable connection with my girlfriends who are still in town.

I find all people are class conscious, just that how the classes self-segregate and identify one-another is just different. In some places, it’s income, others it’s boats, some it’s neighborhoods, others are fashion, etc

Yes king bob you are very right as always .
I read the living section in the newspaper and I see the wedding announcement. They all go to same group of schools. I know my dating options are limited here so I have to move to Texas Florida or north Carolina. Maybe Arkansas

Jigantisourus fat assus.
Said Lafayette is boring when they pass next to the Mardi Gras barricades. Obviously did not look into the background of each place. They are too sloppy and lazy to find out what goes on in each city.

i last lived there over 20 years ago in law school. by and large it was fine. the attys i clerked for curiously were not from there. the legal community is rather insular and chummy and look upon outside attorneys--particularly from New Orleans-- with general disdain. one judge turned his nose up at me when i told him i was from NO
