Search results: Page after page of AI trash or completely unrelated shite. Not s single real video made by an actual person on the topic, when surely hundreds if not thousands of those exist.
The site is completely unusable to find or discover anything of actual value. Even if you seek out something specifically you can't find it.
Unless you have a direct link to a channel or video, the site is basically just a gigantic morass of shite.
The near unanimous opinion is that YouTube is significantly worse in every way over the past decade. It's shite on purpose.

Embeds drive traffic, count as impressions which encourages the slop.. Forcing to click will reduce traffic. Once people see it's a link many won't click.
Not even accounting for they are slow to load, and embed trackers

I very justifiably shite on TD search function for years, but as of the newest update, I have to concede that it’s now a basic, useful search function. I can actually find old posts/threads when I look for them. It’s kind of weird after all these years

Subscribe to channels you like and only watch those videos.
It's pretty simple. That's the best way to use Youtube. Find a bunch of channels and sub to them. Don't scroll through videos unless you have to. Sometimes you can find other good channels like that tho.

I'm also finding that most videos put out on youtube is just AI crap. Before, i'd watch a video on history, from a known youtuber. Then the referenced next videos would be similar but by another youtuber. Also interesting. Now, it's mostly AI shite.
Vacation recommendation type videos are almost 100% AI now. Youtube is mostly garbage now.
