A good thing getting your daughter involved in something she has interest in.
However, welcome to the ultra-competitive world of youth sports. In my parent talk, I always tell them that they will be the only ones that can/will ruin the fun for the kids, the other parents, and the coaches. Ultimately, a small group of them will fulfill the prophecy every time without fail.

Send a nasty picture to the group. I'm not gonna give examples of mine, but there is some disgusting stuff online

When she becomes a free agent take her to Chucky Cheese to decide who she wants to play for next.

Or you can use the opportunity to be the voice of reason for this group of parents. Assert yourself just a little bit and they will either leave you out of it or fall in line

Whatever happened to just having the neighbor kids play whatever sport is in season in the backyard or someone's driveway until they are 10 or 12? I grew up doing that in the late 80s, early 90s, and some of us even went on to play in sports at the college level.

That never happened with my kids. Where do you live?

Now I'm on a group text message and these parents are discussing offensive philosophy and want to know what drills we are running and whatnot.

open the group text details and select do not disturb. You won't get notifications when a new message comes in.

At that age, the fo us should be on defense. You want your kids to guard their player tight without fouling. Full court press if the rules allow. The other team will get demoralized and quit trying. Better yet, they will retaliate and players will foul out because they havent been adequately coached on defense. The scoring will take care of itself with minimal coaching. The other team’s parents will hate you so there’s that, too.

Did you respond and tell the parents the kids are only 6 years old?

You've got to be kidding?! Too bad parents don't put this energy into academics.

Did you suggest a pick and roll...?

I think my youngest is a legit prospect for MLB. Looking for some good 8U travel teams in North Texas

Reply back and tell them your daughter has a 6 year old pen pal in Kenya who is 6’7”. Tell them you will sign her up if they will send you $10k for the plane ticket, visa, and room and board.

Quit
Have her do gymnastics and ind sports that have a team atmosphere; let her learn technique and have fun.
Then start the team sports in a couple of years
