Yes, your phone is constantly recording data from your nearby conversations and taking images...not a troll, your phone is super sophisticated for many reasons, not all about texting and making calls.

Well I don’t know anything about phones listening to you, but I did just recently learn that if you use your computer signed into gmail and your phone has your gmail account, google recognizes your electronics to be yours and therefor will advertise things on your phone that you only searched for on your computer. And no, they won’t advertise porn. Also, if you have your location services turned on, google will also recommend things in your vicinity based on what type of past searches you’ve done. It’s an algorithm so it’s not exactly the things you’ve searched for, but possible things you may be interested in since it can tell roughly how old you are, gender, and what other like people have searched for.
