On the subject of hearses, this one belongs to a local funeral home. It turns heads wherever it goes.

Was the XR6 a homologation car?

I don't believe. It was just a limited run (the sprint i mean) family sedan making 500hp.

The ford 2jz...

There's a barra swapped late 70s ford truck in BR.

I've seen him lay twin black lines at 70 mph on I12.

I've never seen one in the metal but I have read about Aussi builds up near 2000hp but running near 60 psi on methanol.

I always figured a lot of swaps would be hard since it is an I6 but thought it could be cool as a bastard swap into something like an E36 M3. It would be an interesting project if you were down under since the basic Barra is a dime a dozen and parts are everywhere.

I had looked into it for a bullnose swap. If I remember correctly it was basically one inch longer than the old 300 straight six.

In 1970 I bought a new 454 Chevelle, Cranberry Red black stripes 4 speed.
$3400 after my trade of a 66 mercury. Wish I still had it. Had to sell it to move to DFW for a job.

I had a 1972 Triumph Spitfire when I was in college. It was beautiful, but it was in the shop 7-10 days per month. Still loved it.
