Another "hell no" for the Hyundai Tucson. My daughter drove one for three years, major issues including bad engine. Hyundai USA was unhelpful and offered no support. Lesson learned the hard way.

I understand why some prefer the isolation of a Rolls-Royce, but to me, that is like going to a concert wearing noise-cancelling headphones
To me the Cullinan would be like getting great seats to see the Berlin Philharmonic, while the Purosangue is like going to a rock concert but sitting stage left in the bleachers, while the 3RS/296/Termmerario drivers are in the pit.

We have a 2017 Tucson with a GDI engine and it burns oil like an ocean freighter, and has been since it hit 95k miles, currently at 125k. I would not recommend getting one of those, or any GDI engine for that matter.

CR-V went 280,000 miles with one spark plug change, all 4 brake rotors changed once and a starter change. Otherwise no maintenance issues

Had an X3 for a loaner.
Quiet and comfortable and gets to 80 quickly, with no drama.
But BMWs are anathema to the OT.

Got my wife a CRV last year and it's been nice. Might be too small for the fats but it is perfect for us.
That eliminates 3/4 of Louisiana purchasers

The layout is different. Has a great a/c and a decent stereo.
She loves it.

This is ugly?
Didn't they poach the BMW designer or something? IMHO they've come the farthest from a decade or so ago. I bought a kia Sofia from a poster here long ago and it was...a car. Nothing right with it or wrong with it.
Fast forward to today and I've had my mind changed. Love the safety features and the use of interior space. I found the Hyundais feel...cramped for lack of a better word.
A lot of other makes felt like that. I found the Kias roomy, I like the tech. It just really blew me away from my prior experiences in them years back.
They've definitely made a change and a marked improvement

Soooo...an AC that blows out cold air and a radio that makes music come out...
That sounds like the absolute bog standard to me. Not any sort of a selling point.
Even the name. A kicks.
Short for can't wait 'til it kicks rocks. Chevy has gone to doo doo in recent years

My wife had driven Ford Escapes for 25 years. She bought a CRV hybrid and absolutely loves it. She gets 42 MPG.

Is that the Telluride? Those are ok. It’s silly, but my issue with Kia is how the brand name is “painted” across the rear of the vehicle. To me, it looks cheap. Another issue is I just don’t trust Hyundai or Kia for quality or longevity based on my daughter’s experience with 2 Hyundais, and Kia and Hyundai are tasted to be basically the same. My Toyotas last me until I decide to get rid of with no issues. But I pay off and keep for a long time. It’s almost time now to finally start thinking about it.
