Your logic is not making sense. If the guys are already slumming it and dating fatties...why do the guys need to work out? If the guys get in better shape, that gap now widens and guys are dating 3-4 points lower. Shouldn't you be telling the fatties to get their asses to Orange Theory?

I honestly don't find that surprising because American standards for what is overweight and what isn't are skewed. So many people are overweight but our society doesn't consider them to be so--even though medically, they're carrying 20-30 unnecessary pounds.

Maybe not subjectively, but statistically, it’s true. 6’0” and 185 is overweight on the BMI scale.

I mean it could very well be true for all I know. But there’s ridiculously high percentages of people that are overweight, and then there’s 70% of people being overweight.

It's 71.6% of adults over the age of 20 that are overweight or obese. CDC stats and that was as of 2015-2016, it is worse now especially in minority groups.

stats by race and state
LA ranks 7th fatest amongst whites, 12th amongst Blacks. Minorities have much higher % overall though.
Both groups are holding pretty steady though.
