I drove at 12 and didn’t have a license but in rural America back then it was accepted.

You can drive all you want without a license as long as you stay on your land. If you can get somewhere without leaving you land the. Go for it, but I got a feeling you will only be doing donuts in your 94 accord on your quarter acre lot.

So I'm order to drive you need roughly 20k in liquid money to cover potential accidents?

Actually I think in Louisiana you can purchase a surety bond in lieu of car insurance.

I enjoy driving and will miss it when everyone has an automated car, but I will appreciate the safety. It’s a scary thought to know my family could be wiped out in an instant by a retard texting while driving.

You can’t give up freedom for safety, but I trust people more than artificial “intelligence” anyway.

I’ll never stop manually driving.

Which is a good alternative. But under the original argument even that shouldn't be a requirement.

Bruh, people with a drivers license can't drive. Imagine what it would be like if everyone had the freedom to drive? It would be like the roads in a 3rd world country...

Will you feel the same way when a 90yo with corrected 20/200 vision T-bones your wife and she is dead and your kid(s) are vegetables?

You don’t.

You simply can’t drive on public roads without one.

You can drive on your private land all you want without a license.

You don't need a license to drive.

You need a license if you get pulled over.

The government built the roads. Yes they used your money but they also used my money and I agreed that people, especially you, need a license if they want to travel on my roads.

Usually the ones complaining about these types or laws are the ones who need these types of laws the most.

That won't happen at the 5 mph the 90 year old near blind will be driving in the left lane with his right turn signal on. Just how distracted by the kids and cellphone while driving is your wife?

I was thinking of getting my kid a power wheel soon. But, by your logic I should just get her a Tahoe?

We do it all the time. We’d have so much more freedom if people weren’t so selfish and stupid.
