There is a distinct correlation to stupidity and hard DT support.......for SOME of his supporters. I know plenty highly intelligent ones. The caveat is a large part of the vocal group are knuckle draggers who are convinced they know everything. (As my dad used to say, if you’re so fricking smart why aren’t you rich?)
That said, there is also a portion of the vocal group that are intelligent yet mentally disturbed. Seriously.
When you have large groups of jaded, bigoted and uneducated people feel they’ve collectively won something, you have what is widely known as a Trump rally.
NOW, SOME in the left are riddled with insanity, arrogance, condescension, reverse bigotry, perceived knowledge (also uneducated), etc.
Point: lots of people pointing fingers at a mirror
Final word - the emergence of the thousands of plant operators moonlighting as infectious disease physicians is astounding. Who knew these folks were so worldly and genius?!?!

Yet their anecdotal evidence and real world experiences Are proving to be more true than any of the lettered/credentialed models and the states that follow what these “knuckle staggers” ideal plan seem to be doing just fine.
Maybe you should look at some and realize that lots of knowledge can be learned in a book, but letters behind your name and papers in your wall don’t make you wise or intelligent. They just mean you could grit through academia.
And I say this as a college grad in engineering and a masters degree in engineering

This is the arrogance of the intellect on full display. Just because you may be smart doesn’t make you wise, creative or otherwise virtuous. Many people don’t have the desire to engage in high level discussions of abstract ideas just like not everyone wants to be a heavyweight boxer. Then, to come to a a sports related forum, declare most other people are stupid and should be labeled as such sounds like the cry of a little tyrant trying to build himself an intellectual silo.
