My MIL set her alarm for 6:00 am.

At 6:30 the rest of the family have gathered to find the noise that woke us up.

We find the alarm going off in the living room with MIL sleeping soundly next to it.

Best part was when my wife said “Plan on getting up tomorrow at 6:00 when this alarm goes off again.”

Good times.

Expecting some fireworks today between the gf & her daughter about her upcoming wedding. The fuse is lit over the guest list and I’m expecting a nuclear explosion at some point today. I have a case of bud light & the outdoor fire pit is ready for my company. If it gets really really bad the hunting club is a mere 30 minute drive away.

Pio doesn't need advice on this thread. He's a professional. Plus trashy is obviously implied.

We're doing friendsgiving today, so likely no drama. Me and Larry Gooseman might have to manufacture something.

Hopefully things go smooth. Moms cancer is really kicking her arse. Dad doesn’t get around good. I’m doing char broiled oysters and reheating a honey baked ham. Once I get back home tonight the bourbon will flow.

No fireworks yet, but the small turkey my mother started last night, without my wifes help, already has an internal temp of 195 deg.

Small gathering here with grandkids and one guest of grandkid. Wife buys a turkey breast instead of the whole damn bird. No fricking dark meat. Ugh.

I once went to my girlfriend’s house for thanksgiving.

They cooked the entire turkey served the white meat and threw the dark meat to the dogs in the backyard.

We had to break up.

Looks like I have the lighter if I want to starter the flame this year. One of my brothers is not gonna be coming this year because his wife, my SIL, is out of town seeing the rest of her family and he's gotta look after their kids. At least that's the story everyone knows.

Last night I'm out with some friends and decided to stop by a local bar that has really good food for dinner. I end up seeing my brothers best friend and he let's it slip that my SIL is not out of town. So my brother and SIL clearly have some other reason that they're not coming and don't want to say, and I can't blame them for lying cause my family is the type to make you feel bad about not coming. I obviously won't be saying anything cause I have no interest in dealing with that drama

I hope your family is as kind as you. That's gotta be rough.
