I can't stand any of them and I've found out through the grapevine that apparently, they're all a bit hot under the collar with ole Jiminy for my outward logical outlook on life and politics and are planning to "tell me something about it when they see me." My BiL is about as MAGA as they come so I'm sure he and I will be stoking some embers throughout the day. I plan on pouring a fat glass of double oaked Woodford and watching the fireworks begin.
And if worse comes to worse, Mrs. Cricket & myself will retire to our peaceful home, relish in marital relations and await the LSU hire.
Wow, we have the same sister and family! This just hit close to home! LOL We should catch a beer Saturday! LOL

Update from last years Thanksgiving thread
A few months ago me and the neighbor (mom) were both outside and started talking and she apologized for her daughter's behavior last Thanksgiving.
She told me her daughter pinned her against the wall and started choking her so now she has a restraining order against her. In retrospect I think the daughter was on drugs.

Traveled to my FIL's hometown to have Thanksgiving with my wife's extended family (25+ people in the group). My wife's crazy arse aunt is always going back and forth from being on and off the wagon. When she's sober she's always into crystals, or Yoga, or says she is writing a philosophical book or some other rediculous tangent. When she's drinking she says some hilariously inappropriate things at the absolute worst times. She had 4-5 margaritas at dinner tonight so this will be a fun event.

I'm in West Virginia visiting family, part of which I can't stand. The hillbilly neighbors next door are currently drunk as hell, bonfire going and shooting guns up in the mountains at 11:40 PM. Depending on how the dinner goes tomorrow, I might go over and join them. Definitely expecting some political talk, and there's someone who always brings some moonshine, so could be a next level shitshow here tomorrow.

Always enjoy this thread. My in-laws and my parents are baptist and we respect them by not drinking at their houses.
It usually makes for a more boring TG week but it’s nice to not have drama. Had a bit last year involving dogs but it was pretty minor.
My lone hope tomorrow is to troll one of my MiL’s friends. She’s a hardcore Right wing, political agent. Like worked for and was close friends with Phyllis Schlafly right wing.
I agree with her politically across the board most of the time but she’s way too serious and I’m going to start some pro vac mandate debates.

A little Wednesday fun. I decided to take the afternoon and go hunting till dark. I usually don’t because I take care of the two year old in the afternoon and evenings. I got several texts describing the hell he was putting my wife through while on the way home.
It’s her year to make the potato salad and deviled eggs. When I walked in, my wife’s hair is a mess and she’s looking frantic as she peels potatoes and puts them in a strainer. My two year old is on the counter screaming and laughing in some kind of monstrous delirium as he grabs each potato and decides it’s time to practice his 4 seam fastball in prep for what can only be a travel ball future. After the potato flies through the air with enough force to dent the fridge, he picks up the sprayer on the sink and proceeds to make it rain all over the kitchen.
It’s at this point I realize I’ve fallen to one knee because I’m laughing so hard. Then I see the look. The 2 year old is about to die and I’m going down with him. We exited the room expeditiously and went on a night time 4 wheeler ride to make sure we both didn’t die.
Good times.
