They just arrived this afernoon. My 8 yo son just called his 7 year old cousin a buttface (my son does not like having his two girl cousins in house with sister next 3 days). I started laughing at that and that made the SIL mad. Going to be a long 3 days.
My In-laws who are good people get in town tomorrow. They set off my SIL so tomorrow is the main event. At least the in-laws are staying at a hotel for peace.

This! My bil and sil have 3 mutts and have to bring them everywhere. Their dogs are allowed on the furniture at their house, so I'm the a-hole for not wanting them on my furniture. Plus dog hair gets everywhere. Since telling them to leave the dogs at home is not an option and makes me a "monster", Thanksgiving & Christmas will never be hosted at my home again. Or they can get a hotel, but they're too cheap for that.

My cousin just got of rehab and she is coming to my parent’s house on Thursday. She has a good shot at relapsing right in time for Thanksgiving. I think her 16 year old daughter that hates her might show up. Good times.

Thanksgiving will be drama free for me this year. There was an unexpected death in one part of my family less than a month ago so its going to be somber this year.
Another side of my family is too big and they have a thanksgiving and I pretty much stopped going to those family events because it has gotten to the point where I don't know half the people who go there and I just want to not be around so many people with a bunch of BS drama.
