Seriously.
I usually do 75 during the day (at home) and 73 at night. Can’t imagine 62, it would be freezing.

I leave upstairs unit on 73 unless we have company in town. Downstairs 70 daytime, 67 at night. It’s like a meat locker in here. Luckily it’s a new house so power bill is only around $250 in the summer.

I feel like the American people have a right to see what the thermostat is set at in the White House, the vice presidential home, and the Washington homes of all elected officials.

If 74 now It doesn’t seem like it keeping up with 71 or 69.

it's a matter of time before the government mandates this, and sell T-stats that don't have a set point under 78 degrees

It doesn’t- 13 year old builder grade unit, coupled with a back of house that faces north west with a lot of windows and cathedral ceilings. When the heat index is over 100, it gets pretty tough. I got a quote for spray foam for something like $10-11k, so I ruled that out. Next unit, I’m going to go up a half ton or ton. But hopefully that’s not too soon

If it’s already not keeping up (temp is above setting and still running) I would knock thermostat up to at least what temperature thermostat says it is and give it a break. If wanting air circulation just leave fan turned on as it’s running anyway with AC, but let cooling system have a break.

Also make sure cooling coils are not frozen over. If they are you are likely to see water dripping from over flow pan which drains outside instead through plumbing (might also see this drainage if direct pipes to plumbing clogged with gunk). Running fan only for an hour or two may help them unfreeze.

Unless you very recently changed filter change it and maybe go down a level in filtering for next month.

If you haven’t already get someone to do a spring maintenance/check. For a set price usually they check it, rinse coils or whatever they are in outside unit, blow out drainage pipes, and check Freon (can’t remember exact year that was phased out). I have gotten service in summer before.

Yeah...frick that.

Keep voting democrat people and there will 100% be mandates for this shite in the near future.

Your home AC will be monitored and adjusted based on what the government says it should be.

It's pretty obvious if you are paying attention. This is the 1st seed being planted. You already have the government communist sheep in here doing their usual degrading of anyone who doesn't agree.

not obese at all, im body temp runs hot. We do 62 at night and 68-70 during the day. I dont want it to feel outside, i want it to cool me off.

New house is set up in zones and I will only keep our bedroom that cold. prolly put rest of house at 72 during the day. kids rooms at 68 at night.

frick sleeping where you arent wanting to stay under the covers. If it was up to me and it was below 50, we would have windows open.
