Still others, like the moronic self described “libertarians” who will foolishly argue that legalized gambling equates to freedom.

So because a small percentage of people can't handle gambling or are morally opposed to it, the government should ban it for everyone? Apply this equally across the board and you've become Raymond Cocteau's dystopia in Demolition Man.

Sounds like she is using such small amounts where she relies on the double up to recoup and it never puts her in danger

That and some other shite she "tracks" that I don't even ask about.

Yea she will go for hours and has the patience for it. I can't do it which is why I stay away for the most part. I will reach a point where I do start chasing and lose.

Black Jack is not a game really anyone, except the very highest level of AP (advantage player) should play anymore. The casinos have gone 6/5 on the payoff for the most part, which is a joke, plus even if you can count cards, that strategy is going to be detected pretty easily. Finding a damaged dealer who is giving up something, such as the hole card, is rare and a AP must have a nice bank roll and be able to deal with losing the sum she did. And, who wants to fear getting a third ace? That's now something they won't allow a split on, again for the most part. And, I bet she's playing at the shitty tables, too.

She has none of these things it takes to be successful. And, there is so much more involved. She's a loser. She needs to understand how gambling works. How gambling with an edge works. Maybe, if she understands how woeful she really is as a gambler, that may help her understand how she is just pissing away her money.

You can win at casinos, but it takes a lot of work and expertise. I've shared a lot in the past about how to actually win, but that's about all I have to say about this issue. Some people just are like her. And that is a sickening thing about casinos. They take advantage of it.

And, now places like Las Vegas even has changed the payouts to just take people's money as quickly as possible when it comes to blackjack.

She needs help. Does she work? I would make her get a job to recoup the losses.

Casinos are depressing, old people heading to the boat with their O2 tanks in tow.

Hard for me to walk into a casino without feeling nauseous. Something about obese people in electric wheelchairs at buffets and wasting their life away grosses me out.

Do they have children?

If none, I'll drop her like a bad habit.

There's nothing wrong with going in and playing basic strategy with money you can afford to lose. It can be fun to play, get some drinks that you pay for by playing at the table, talking to a friend, and possibly experience positive variance.

I play in PA, it's 3/2, and can split twice.

I have never been inside of a casino. I would be afraid to become addicted to gambling.
