WWTOTD? My spouse’s previous bridesmaid didn’t make my spouse her bridesmaid.

My spouse was invited to the wedding (14 hours away) but not made a bridesmaid even though the same girl was my wife’s bridesmaid. I told my wife to not even show up. Is that a solid response? I’ve never not been a groomsman for the groomsman in my wedding party.

That’s ridiculous

It isn’t a trade. They don’t live near each other. She may have a small wedding party.

Nice childish fit you are trying to get her to throw, btw.

You sound more petty than your wife (who I presume is a woman). Congrats.

Married women aren’t usually bridesmaids.

Only poor people refer to distances in length of drive time.

Don't judge somebody getting married. There are too many decisions to make. Maybe she was in 15 weddings and can't have that many bridesmaids for hers. Go and have fun, and don't be a dick.

If you care about this you have a bigger vagina than your old lady.

The new bride saved you $300+ for a dress, $200 for an additional night in a hotel for the rehearsal dinner, and all you are missing out on is a free meal at the rehearsal dinner....

Sounds like you won....

Sounds like your wife just saved a chunk of money.

No, that's some petty bullshite.

If you can't go because of money or time or whatever, then don't go.

This

I was a groomsmen in a wedding and 3 years later didn’t make that guy a groomsmen in mine.

We weren’t as close of friends.

Your wife is a woman. Does she not know that bridesmaids are supposed to be unmarried?

You both sound extremely petty and miserable to be around.

With all the effort and hassle people deal with during wedding preparation, you have the cattiness and audacity to take this shite personally. Grow the frick up and be happy for the friend and for the fact she doesn't have to spend an extra arm and a leg on being in the party.
