I have said for the last year or so, that if Hanagriff, who seems to have had some type of discontent for a while now in Baton Rouge, made an overture to WWL, that he would immediately get a drive-time slot and improve sports radio as a whole here in New Orleans.

Well its obviously from an iPhone and IF you really believe it was sent from an employee (still a big if) then any employee who's tweets have "from iphone" would have to be in the discussion.

Nobody's buying your shite posts here. Go do a push up contest with Tommy Tucker.

You're just digging the WWL hole deeper.

Charlie has too much of a stick up his arse for the old New Orleans type demographic. I guess that demographic is sort of a dying breed, though, so maybe he'd work. I guess he'd be a more knowledgeable version of Deke. It'd be nice to have someone with some actual knowledge who is still interesting, though. That's sort of a unicorn in modern day radio.

garner attention

Back in the old days of radio, stations did some crazy stuff for attention.

Everybody's heard of the turkey drop ( I swear I thought turkeys could fly), but one station hired a new jock so they bought a bunch of junk cars and turned them over on the side of the road.

Painted something like this on them:

" I flipped over Charlie at WCCC 6-10"

Most listeners wouldn't be able to keep up. Besides, we're all too preconditioned to hearing ads for Ryno Shield, French Quarter Facades, or THE MAIDS! every 90 seconds.

The fact that this nothing event made a national "news" website is an indictment on the culture of today. This is nothing that should be noteworthy outside of the local area. The internet magnifies everything, catastrophizes everything and keeps people angry and fired up. Constant outrage is at everyone's fingertips. Constant crisis.

I have seen it happen.

Its definitely possible. One of my good friends left his facebook up on my computer years ago and when my brother and I found out we had one hell of a time at his expense.

Your post is spot on.

Perpetual triggeredness.

What constantly offended and butthurt people don't get is that everyone faces challenges in their day-today life and career. Straight or gay, young or old, black or white; we all deal with issues from other people because, let's face it, people suck.

Look somebody called Dunlap a bad name, OMG, so what?
That happens every day to people all the time.

I bet every single person on this board can relate a story about how someone screwed them over in business by behaving unethically or even illegally. $hit happens, get over it.

So we know who actually did it? At some level it was an individual, right? Or did each employee type one letter?

He and management should deal with it, without any help form all the other knucklehead media or all the other SJW crybabies.

it came from the station's official twitter, which means the station gets to take a big bite of the shite sandwich.

it's pretty simple.

Last night on Second Guess, someone called in and was chatting with Bobby and Mike, and they asked why The Point After audio from Monday night hasn't yet been added to the website (WWL like many stations "podcasts" their show content and add them online within a couple of hours.

Bobby pretty quickly said something about they were having technical difficulties due to being hacked.

It also came out that Entercom (parent company) got hit with a ransomware attack over the weekend that as of last night, was still trying to recover from.

I don't know if a ransomware attack would lead to a twitter account hack, or if the ransomware hackers even care about twitter accounts. I still think this was/is someone with regular access to the account.

Let's say you go to your friend's house and you use his/her laptop to check your Facebook. Well if you don't log out of Facebook, and close the webpage.

Before iPhones became popular, people used to use computers at the LSU union and leave themselves logged on to TD. Other random people would get on the website and some awesome make threads
