They need to just get rid of Dunlap. We don’t need that little SJW talking football on the Gulf South Powerhouse, the Big 870, or FM 105.3.

I've been pretty critical of the lack of professionalism over there, but the few times I've heard Dunlap he's sounded good. Solid broadcasting voice, and he's sounded prepared and even-handed with the callers.

His whole commentary on Drew is disappointing and like everyone else in the "offended society " he's got to bring his personal life into everything.

It is 2019. Get over yourself.

As far as someone at his own work broadcasting a demeaning comment, that is something for him to handle internally with station management.

That's how anyone else would handle it in any other business.

It’s disappointing how?

Because it’s different than yours as a straight man (I assume?)

He’s a journalist. This type of commentary is not exactly out of the ordinary. And becomes even more relevant as a gay man.

No, of course not. Why would I even care what his orientation is?

Disappointing because he used a pseudo-controversy to talk about how difficult life was for him.

If he knew anything about Drew, he would know that Drew faced significant difficulties in his own life. He would also have listened to Drew's comments the following day and knew they were genuine.

I was listening to the postgame after a preseason game this season and there was a lengthy discussion among Seth, KDog, Bobby and Tim about phones and Twitter etiquette.

Bobby left his phone in the booth after he left work and Kristian was emphatically saying (and everyone agreed) he (Kristian) would've grabbed it and tweeted garbage as the owner but he passed up the phone because everyone knows Bobby doesn't use Twitter.

Bobby jumped on air briefly when he came back to pick up his phone and said that's why he doesn't use Twitter or Facebook because of Garic's well known phone stealing & posting antics. Everybody laughed and moved on ..... until now!

It was totally Kristian Garic based on that on air conversation, unfortunately he has a face for radio and little real talent.

I'm really disappointed no one has posted the Kristian Garic "interdasting" pic in his oakleys.

The next time someone logs into Facebook, it's very likely your page will still be signed in. Even if you change the password, as long as you don't log out, anybody could type whatever they like on your profile. Hopefully, you don't have any friends who are assholes.

It was not really disappointing but predictable. He used the situation to say look at me. He is a journalist in the same vein you are a human. He was an arrogant hack with little unique to add before he wrote the Brees article. That is why he was on an 8pm-11pm slot on a dying radio station rather than drive time somewhere. WWL is 4th in the market and dropped to 5th in two of the last 4 books.

Why it was predictable is that progressives have become as totalitarian as the religious far right. You have to agree with them 100% and cannot agree 1% with anyone who they have labeled as the enemy. Bernie Sanders publicly agrees with President Trump on Trade. George Soros publicly agrees with President Trump;s handling of Huawei. Does that mean they both support the rest of President Trump's agenda?

I have seen it happen.

However, there are more likely answers. They have to go through the questions.
How many people were authorized to post? Who had the password and login? Was it written down somewhere (Yes, people are still that stupid)? Does Twitter share IP addresses on a deleted post to ascertain where it was written? I doubt this but who knows on a verified account.

I doubt it was the on air folks. They all have their own twitter accounts and probably did not post on the WWL handle but I have no idea.

Entercom was hacked yesterday but that was nationwide and I doubt it was connected to the Dunlap post.

People who are mad at WWL right now are morons. It is possible they still DON'T know who did it or why. Are they supposed to make something up to post about it?

I do not know that this can be ruled out.
Dunlap is a minor player at a station that only has an average 5.5 SHARE of listeners in New Orleans and is not on a drive time show. Do you know how few people are even listening to ANY terrestial radio station from 8-11 pm? And then barely getting 1/20 of that number? It would be a road to publicity.

Skipped from page 1 to 4 of this thread so I haven't read all the replies and don't know if this has been posted yet but I'll post what was said on the radio by Tommy Tucker, the morning guy, at 6am this morning.

He stated the WWL Twitter acct was hacked. Seth freely admitted a few days ago on his show that he was gay (something I honestly had no idea of) while discussing the recent Drew Brees Christian "issue".

Not sure if twitter has a similar feature to Facebook, but you can see all active logins. That being said, if the person had any sense at all, he or she would have logged themselves out of the account after they were done.

I do not know that they have that feature but Twitter corporate does have the ability to discover the IP address that posted the tweet. Now, if will they use that ability and share it is the question. I doubt it.
