The Spanish flu killed between 50 and 100 million people. That was at least about 3% of the population which was about 1/4 what it is now. I one of the simulations show a 65 million death to IF there is a pandemic. Probably less impact-full than the Spanish flu. The Spanish flu cause a 12 year reduction in the life expectancy after year 1.
