Was about to chime in with tarrant county going blue. There are still deep pockets of red but the cities in tarrant have absolutely become over congested. Arlington has a huge population of the dindu’s.

I see some are blaming & more outraged over the “permitless law” that took effect Sep 1st that doesn’t apply to situation since this guy was under 21, not carried in a holster, at a school, and probably several other items going by how he appears to have stored gun in car door at times on his social media pics.

quote:

AUSTIN (KXAN) — In the aftermath of Wednesday morning’s shooting at Timberview High School in Arlington, many are pointing to Texas’ permitless carry gun law, which went into effect Sept. 1… The law allows Texans aged 21 and older to carry handguns in public without needing a license. While House Bill 1927 still requires background checks and excludes felons from possession, the law remains highly controversial.

Was he also charged with bringing a gun into the school?

(a) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly possesses or goes with a firearm, location-restricted knife, club, or prohibited weapon listed in Section 46.05(a):
(1) on the physical premises of a school or educational institution, any grounds or building on which an activity sponsored by a school or educational institution is being conducted, or a passenger transportation vehicle of a school or educational institution, whether the school or educational institution is public or private, unless:
(A) pursuant to written regulations or written authorization of the institution;

Being bullied or not Posting stuff like that on social media while

is trashy.

His was obviously overly harsh. But, the emergence of low bail for violent criminals will likely continue until it blows up on someone in a big way.

literally only happen if it effects a judge or politician. if a perp gets out and immediately murders someone else, they go back to jail and nothing is done.

In order for it to truly be considered bullying, the bully has to have an unfair advantage (size, numbers, etc.) and it has to have happened over an extended period of time. I don't see the unfair advantage in this situation.

Example: This kid claimed he was being bullied. Administration pointed out to him that what the other kid was doing to him was mean, but it was not bullying because he was capable of defending himself. So he did.

Wait, the guy whooping on the other kid was the shooter?

No not the one whooping at the end, but the shooter may have started or instigated the fight (i haven’t seen entire video).
Only going by the below description I am not sure self defense would still apply regardless of who started fight and who won.
quote:

Once the fight was over, he went to his orange backpack, pulled out of his gun and started shooting.

He had the gun in his possession which means additional charges.

Either he stuck it in his backpack that day with this in mind= premeditated.
or
He brought the gun to school every day. Which has to be against some law, doesn't it?

Total ownership right there.

Not a juvenile

Fired a weapon on school property.

Shooter should be buried under the jail.

I don't condone gun violence at schools, but he is innocent until proven guilty.
Was the bully shot and has he survived?
If so it may make an interesting court trial.
In Baton Rouge I assume everyone is packing a firearm.

This is one time Biden will tweet, not in "thoughts and prayers for the victims", but more along the lines of "we need to support those bullied in schools"

From the same page you pulled your voter info from, you somehow missed this information Now I'm not normally one to give blame to just 1 party, or the judges running criminal court in that county... but 20 out of 20

Not at school, considering it’s illegal to possess a firearm on school grounds.

frick you dude. The outcome of the shot shouldn’t change the penalty. You think he wasn’t shooting to kill or something?

The way liberals try and coddle black criminals while at the same time pushing for “more gun control” and “ending gun violence” is just comical at this point.

You want to know how to really throw a frick ton of black males in jail for a long time? Put in place and enforce strict gun laws

Exactly, process vs results

The idea that attempted murder can get you less time in jail than murder is absurd.
