Unwrapped. Displayed and ready to go. It’s almost midnight here and I can still hear my kids running around upstairs

Presents were wrapped when the kids were young. When they got older and we got lazier they were unwrapped or in gift bags.

Santa? Eff sharing my hard earned money with that fat elf…we don’t do Santa- mom and dad bought these gifts- Santa is a great character to read about and watch in movies but so is paw patrol, Mickey Mouse and blippi

I was team wrap, wife(no pics) was team unwrapped. 1st Christmas w 1st born, and every Christmas book we had showed wrapped presents (some even referenced a disaster it would be if presents were unwrapped) so I won by default

I can't imagine putting my self validation over my kids innocence. They are only young once.

have been made fun of for years by my sister in law but she called my wife this afternoon because she wants to tell her 13 and 10 year old Santa doesn’t exist.

Jeez. 10 and 13. At this point they may be 21 before they learn that babies don't actually come from the stark.

Sounds like the "cool uncle" needs to be unleashed. In fact I'd say it is obligatory at this point.

I’ve tried but it is hard when you are viewed as the uncle who is horrible because I discipline my kids. My kids shoot guns, ride dirt bikes hunt and fish. I’m viewed as the family member who is the typical conservative who believes in teaching a kid how he should act and behave respectfully in front of people. They act like I am a horrible person because I will get all in my kids business. Yet they will ask why my kids listen when I tell them to do something.

My 12 year old told my 13 year old nephew last year and they left the family Christmas event due to him having a complete breakdown. They convinced him my son was lying now they want to tell him the truth.

Talk about an unforced error by the parents

Huh? We don’t dismiss the spirit of Christmas…we don’t rob our children’s innocence- one could say that the belief and subsequent realization does more to damage their innocence but i don’t judge parents who train their kids to believe in Santa- parenting is hard enough w/o our subjective judgements

Meanwhile, I've wrapped a stuffed football for my dog...

And this is why Louisiana with always be Louisiana. Jesus and Nick Saban say wrap all presents. Don’t be lazy. It is Christmas. Wrap the present.
