How the frick would Santa have time to wrap stuff

The elves.

My parents would have some stuff unwrapped but would say it must have fallen off Santa’s sleigh.

I remember one year they had shite laying in the front lawn and was like, oh Santa must have dropped this.

Something like that. Actually had a crazy past couple days helping a friend escape an abusive relationship. Spent all day yesterday helping her get a restraining order. Her psycho boyfriend found my house and knocked on our door repeatedly and fricking parked outside my house for four hours today!! Until NOPD finally showed up to serve him and tell him to GTFO. The only reason I share this is because my friend randomly asked me if I knew what tigerdroppings is because he posts here often. She told me one of his handles too.

What’s been going on with you?

Your friends happen to know a screen name by any chance?

Where does she rank on the OT scale? Into butt stuff?

. Yeah she told me he has a bunch of different screen names. She told me one of them and I’ve already investigated. He hasn’t posted since his psychotic episode. He called her 150 times in 24 hours and texted her probably triple that. She never even responded during all that insanity. He’s a real looney toon. And total piece of shite.

Grew up in a wrapped family. Mine was one paper and my sister was another paper. Wife (no pics) did not grow up in a wrapped family so our kids are no wrap. While I liked mine wrapped, our kids get many more than I did and wrapping all of them would be a bitch.

I did get one unwrapped growing up which was a full size ping pong table (kind of hard to wrap that).

Santa presents were always wrapped when I was a kid, my son when he was younger he had presents wrapped from Santa (we always bought wrapping paper when my son wasn’t with us, and wrapping paper from us.

I dont understand as a society we spend so much money on wrapping only to just rip it apart. especially for an infant or child under 2

Are you retarded?

The magic of Christmas morning doesn't last very long as it is. The excitement of the kids running downstairs, seeing the presents lined under the tree. Before long though they are ripping into them and have them all opened. Now imagine they instantly see waht everything is, no curiosity of what could be in there, that moment is 1/4th the time it previously was with no wrapped presents.

My parents kept everything hidden until Christmas morning then just threw it all on the couch. The only gifts that got wrapped were to extended family or guests coming over. When my sister and I got into 3rd+ grade then they started wrapping because we started hunting the hiding spots every year.

Ok so the unwrapped presents thing, unless something that's to big like a bike, is totally new to me. Have never heard that until I started reading this thread. As a man unwrapped is the way to go, but all felt it was an expected part of it. Different wrap from Santa, and even each person getting their own wrap to essentially mark it. Wrapped or gift bags.

So this thread actually has made me feel better because I learned my family get things wrapped at the store or gift bags. I usually give my mom money as she tells me what she wants and she gets it. This year though I got her something she mentioned, and I know she wouldn't know how to research it to get a good one. Anyway, it's too heavy/big for a gift bag, so I figured I'd find and sneak out a big piece of wrapping paper when I went for dinner last night after church....nope. I learned gift bags or store wrapped.

We do non-kids Santa gifts at dinner tonight. I'm not going to the store to buy a whole roll, so just going to keep it in the shipping box so she doesn't see the actual box label. Thanks to this thread I don't feel so bad, though she'll still give me that "really??" look. Which will be forgot after she opens it I'm sure....for a few days until she brings it up again next time I see her.
