I dont understand as a society we spend so much money on wrapping only to just rip it apart. especially for an infant or child under 2

Unwrapped

When does Santa & the elves have time to wrap? Plus, why would he use the same paper as mom & dad?

Wrapped. You don’t get to see their joy and surprise if they wake up at 4 am and already see what they got.

I really don’t care if they do, their asses will wait for us and have a smile.

I say that directed at my oldest as they are nosey anyways. My youngest is 2 and getting a power wheel so I’m stoked to see his reaction as this is really his first Christmas he will go crazy.

Wrapped but not from Santa, it may make us horrible people but we have never done the Santa thing with our kids. Nothing against people who do but My parents didn’t do it so I’ve never thought it was a big deal.

We have been made fun of for years by my sister in law but she called my wife this afternoon because she wants to tell her 13 and 10 year old Santa doesn’t exist. She knows it is going to be a problem. My 12 year old told my 13 year old nephew last year and they left the family Christmas event due to him having a complete breakdown. They convinced him my son was lying now they want to tell him the truth. Oh well, to each their own.

We always had wrapped presents from Santa as kids but my wife had unwrapped so I just rolled with what she wanted because that didn't seem like a very important hill to die on to me.

Our youngest is 15 now though and I'll probably have to wake her up at 11 because our company is about to be here.

I can MAYBE understand the 10 yr old.... But 13? Holy sheltered life batman. Life is gonna hit him HARD.

I'm surprised the 10 yr old doesn't know. Kids learn that stuff pretty young these days. I'd say most kids are 7-8 at the oldest before they know.
