We have Santa wrapping paper and parent paper.
We wrap for six kids. We’ve never wrapped Santa gifts, so why would I change that now? Because you said it’s trashy
They get wrapped presents from us.

And all the gifts came from Santa.
When you were a kid or is that what you do for your kids? Our kids are 2 and 4. They’re illiterate so I’m not bothering writing to and from on any of them.

I can MAYBE understand the 10 yr old.... But 13? Holy sheltered life batman. Life is gonna hit him HARD
Trust me I know, I love the kid but he has been completely sheltered.
To be honest the Santa thing is the least of it, I could go on and on. Love him to death but the real world is going to be a wake up.

Mostly wrapped with a few unwrapped is the only way to go

Santa practices safe gifting and wraps

'm surprised the 10 yr old doesn't know. Kids learn that stuff pretty young these days. I'd say most kids are 7-8 at the oldest before they know.
I suspect he does know, especially due to school. He won’t be the issue it will be the older boy.

Same when I was a kid... It never dawned on me that the presents were under the tree well before Xmas

Sounds like the "cool uncle" needs to be unleashed. In fact I'd say it is obligatory at this point.

Good luck trying to raise sheltered kids in the age of the internet. We've raised 2.
You might limit their access at home but at least one of their friend's parents doesn't. Most of them are going to look at you stupid when you start your birds and the bees speech.

Unwrapped. They have plenty to unwrap from their grandparents.

Unwrapped but wife came from a wrapped family so we wrap. Except for stuff too large to be wrapped which is usually the good stuff - so I still win.

I dont understand as a society we spend so much money on wrapping only to just rip it apart. especially for an infant or child under 2
Creating the wonder of what's inside is half the fun.

Unwrapped my whole life, but the wife insists on wrapped. I have refused to participate in the wrapping or cleanup for 20 years.

Get 3 kids that all believe and you’ll be on team unwrapped.

Unwrapped….. nothing compares to the shock and awe of trying to process all the stuff at once

Wrapped.
Part of the fun growing up for me was unwrapping the gifts. The surprise (and, occasionally, horror) of what lay underneath.
I wouldn’t take that away from my son.
