6:30pm. Yay or nay? Just a guest.

Edit: Crucial point I left out. It's an outdoor wedding.

A nice denim jacket should play.

I have shown up to weddings and funerals under dressed after debating whether or not to wear my jacket and left it at home. I've been wrong each time.

I always wear the jacket nowadays and if I'm over dressed then I take it off. Besides, if you're at an event that you normally should wear the jacket to and every other man isn't wearing one, you wearing it will be a nice subtle "frick you, trash" to them.

No. I went to an outdoor wedding last week and everyone with a jacket had it off immediately after the ceremony anyway. It's too damn hot.

Of course.

Wear an unlined linen or summer weight wool jacket.

Uh yeah otherwise trashy. May be able to get away with no tie with a nice sport coat.

You were probably wearing a fully lined think wool jacket. Of course you were hot.

Friend of mine had an outdoor wedding in July in Alabama a few years ago.

One guy in the crowd was in a camo Bama hat, jeans, and T shirt. Don't be that guy. Wear a suit and drink extra to offset the alcohol you're constantly sweating out.
