The possibility that this administration could execute a war successfully is probably less than zero. They are incompetent enough to destroy the country and possibly the world in the process.

If it’s old-school war where you move in and conquer, annex the land, and take whatever resources there are, then YES.

If it’s this new politically correct war where we have to do peacekeeping and nation-building afterwards, then no. Let SK deal with it.

Only if absolutely necessary, like if we are attacked first. Any military action will render the entire Korean Peninsula a smoking pile, like it was 70 years ago. We can't gamble with millions of other people's lives without a super super good reason. The fact that N. Korea is run by a lunatic isn't a good reason.

The question is should the US take military action against N.Korea for continually calling our bluff and making threats like the latest missile launch?

No. We should treat Kim like any other troll and ignore him. And if you don't want someone calling your bluff, don't bluff.

I think the world needs to shut Kim up, but I don't want another US only war.

No boots on ground.

If they attack South Korea or Japan, then yes, definitely.

Preemptive action? Hell no. A stable relationship with China is too important.

Are citizens of America in eminent danger if we don't?

If yes, yes.

If no, no.

Yes, after college football season this will make great entertainment. Besides, nothing will make these millennial twats grow up quicker than rushing the beaches of NK in a conventional war.

Yes. And it was nothing like Vietnam. In fact the first phase was basically a redo of WWII while the second phase saw the war morph more into a WWI style of static warfare.
