It seems to me most people don’t give a dam about birds and wildlife.

This is sadly correct.

Look around at natural habitat in your area being destroyed for more Dollar Generals and self storage places.

People only care so long as it doesn’t cost money or cause inconvenience.

I think they are a nuisance but not enough to care.

Just don't get upset when my GSD gets ahold of your cat in my backyard.

Because some of us care about the natural world

I’ve always had the thought that humans are part of the natural world. And everything we do is as natural as anything an animal does. So if we melt down a nuclear reactor - that’s natural. If we build a high rise - that’s natural. If we engineer the Kung flu - that’s natural.

In many places they are supposed to be on a leash if not in your yard. Just like dogs.

I can see that argument and have thought about it myself.

Perhaps I should have said the wildlife world? IDK

Know your history before you start opining about cats. Read about the plague centuries ago? We all know what caused it. Fleas. Fleas on rats. The plague spread like wild fire when everyone in Europe started killing all the cats. If they would have left those little predators alone, historians believe the plague would not have spread as fast as it did.

However, IMO, since I am a cat owner, I do not let him outside except on my patio which is screened in. The reason is because I dont want a wild animal or a dog to kill him and I damn sure dont want to find him dead from being hit by a car or killed because some stupid fricker just hates cats. Either way, with the massive population of birds in this world, trust me when I say, they arent putting a dent in the bird population.

But Im sure you are ok with cats killing tree rats right?

Yes bc I think it’s unfair for the dog owners to have to make sure they’re cleaning up after their pets but outdoor cats can shite anywhere
