With the continued crime around LSU and involving LSU students, maybe it's time some alumni started a national 'DON'T SEND YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL' campaign. Baton Rouge is turning into a complete slum. It's only a matter of time before a student is killed literally ON campus and to me, there's no better time to get the university AND city's attention. Sure, many of you can say this isn't LSU's fault. This is Baton Rouge's fault, and honestly I don't disagree. But it's clear to me there is no way possible we could do anything to get BR's attention. They don't give a flying frick and I see nothing on the horizon indicating they would or could possibly change. But pressure from LSU, arguably the city's greatest and most important tenant, could seriously swing some major big dick energy on forcing this shite city to finally do something.

I don't want to see LSU get hurt beyond repair, but there's no doubt in my mind that we're on the precipice of this whole thing falling apart. There's plenty of shite in the news to embarrass the university at the moment. This could be just the kind of thing that finally makes President Tate call up SWB and tell her it's time to clean this shite up before the university finds itself in a complete, irreparable state.

Don’t think you need to worry about your kids getting into LSU.

I already did and my kids are in elementary school. LSU, A&M, and UT are on the black list. Which means each of the two will want to go to one of those three.

Honestly, in Texas, there is no excuse to have to leave the state anyway.

One of the problems I see with LSU's campus these days is that there is so much flashy affluent stuff that the students see on a regular basis, they're not paying attention slightly off the beaten path, let alone being on Florida drive, etc.

I would support a campaign to ban threads like this.

My kid will go wherever she wants. She’s not afraid of her own shadow.

I doubt I’d send my kids to lsu regardless. Better options in Florida.

There was a serial killer preying on young females when I went to LSU. Didn’t stop people from going. Seemed like every girl had mace though.

It’s a lot better now.

Academic stagnation is the biggest threat LSU faces. Not whatever the foolish OP is posting. LSU damn well needs to start climbing in the rankings again or Tate will be out on his arse. Being better than Ole Miss isn’t enough.

News travels a lot faster amongst kids than with adults. All will be well either way without organizing a campaign.

When, in the past 25 years, has crime not been an issue around LSU? There was a damn serial killer for a couple of years. The Cangelosi guy got shot. Those poor Indians who got killed in the Edward Gay apartments. The guy who defecated on my gas cap. BR stays trill, bruh.

yup - the crime is not new AT ALL

ETA: I went to lsu when Derrick Todd Lee was on the prowl, and I’ll have two kids there in the fall - not sure where they’d be any safer
