Crime? I'd be more worried about the indoctrination.

Well literally ANY other SEC school for starters. My wife and I both graduated from LSU as did my parents. Unless things change drastically, my kids will most certainly not continue the tradition.

If the trend continues, I’m telling you. A student will be murdered on campus within the next half decade.

Will that get LSU’s attention? Or just let it peter out like what happened to poor Allie Rice?

I’m a LSU alum and I 100% support this. Already told my gf’s two boys, who LOVE LSU, that they aren’t allowed to go there because of the shite hole BR has become. Hit the state where it hurts, their pockets.

If you don't want to send your kids to LSU then don't but to start a campaign? WTF?

They will not be 100% safe no matter where they go because 100% safe doesn't exit.

Bring this shite somewhere else.

No shite genius, but there are better areas with higher levels of safety than Baton Rouge.

While not Baton Rouge greater communities, have you heard of Bryan, Texas? Wherever Athens puts the non athletes that don't fit their undergrad profile? Phenix City for Auburn?

Yet, all are more preferable to BR. Starkville and Oxford are far enough from major metro areas they're mainly property crime, unlike BR. Bryan is sorta part of College Station, like Phenix City is sort part of Auburn (yeah, I know it's more of a stretch, but account for different terrain, would ya?) I'm not including them in the calculation.

I think everyone in Fayetteville, of any color, is fat enough to just get along to at least get to the plate. I can respect that. I'm not subsidizing LA frickery by paying out of state tuition where I have to draw geofenced maps for my kids where you're not allowed to park, where you shouldn't eat after dark, where you shouldn't stop if there is someone in the road, to avoid violent crime. That's Baton Rouge.

DV inbound.

I say LSU is different now and that I don’t want my kids going there when they’re older but I’m full of shite because I just bought season football tickets for the first time for this season. I’d like to have it both ways but that’s not possible. I’ll just wait and see how it is in 10 years when my oldest goes to college.

No shite genius, but this moron wants to start a campaign to not send your kids to LSU. I guess it would make him feel better about not sending his kid to LSU?

LSU is not really a place for pussies so you probably shouldn't send your kids to LSU.

I take my 2 Tigers to the gun range to let them learn to handle the real world. The "shoot the carjacker" law has been in place for 20 years.

What we need is the equivalent of a roach motel that stands 6 feet high and uses a Rolex for bait. Hood rat checks in but he don't check out.

100% would.
Until it hits their pocketbooks, nothing will change.
Same as in DC.

As a father of 2024 HS seniors, you really can’t believe this. Have you taken any campus trips at all? Ruston, Oxford, Fayetteville, and StarkVegas are exponentially safer than Baton Rouge to name a few.

I've been laying the groundwork for my daughters to go out of state for college. I don't want them tethered to Louisiana. I love it here, but with each passing day, the reasons to hate Louisiana are outpacing the reasons to love it. By the time they're out of school, I'll probably only spend half of my time here, if that. Even the most optimistic people can't foresee a bright future for Louisiana with the crime and welfare state growing faster than the population that abides by the law and actually pays taxes.
