Would you live in Seattle suburbs?

If you were being offered a job that paid high enough wage to offset cost of living $500k plus. No state income tax, great schools, highly educated, great restaurants, sure it’s got crazy politics but so does Austin and it’s in the heart of Texas.

The suburbs have some redneck-esque good blue collared folks. The libtards in the city suck, but the suburbs are great.

The houses in your pictures all cost $1M plus so no. I'd rather spend that money 20 acres and a house in Georgia and be left alone.

My best friend lives just north of Seattle. He has been there for the better part of a decade now.

I couldn't do it, but it is not terrible.

Yes, my daughter lives in Olympia, which is about 45 minutes south of Seattle. I envy her, I could put politics aside to live there.

So if I were rich enough to live in the nicest parts of the PNW, would I be okay with doing so?

I bet if you asked the same question to regular folk of Seattle about moving to Mountain Brook, AL with enough to buy one of the estates, they'd say yes too.

Sure. I spent a few summers in that area in the 90s. The politics are pretty whack for me, but the PNW is awesome.

I have seen MAGA flags 45 minutes outside of Seattle so there is hope. However they do have used needle depositories in every public restroom in the state and they are overflowing regardless of how nice the area is.

Couldn’t agree more. Great food options, great fishing, great views. There is a lot to like about the PNW once you get out of Seattle. I even enjoyed visiting Seattle for work, but the homeless are annoying.

I’d live in an elephant’s a-hole if it paid $500K a year

one of my son's teachers just moved from there last year and she loved living around all the nice pictures you posted and said it was gorgeous, but the people/politics were inescapable. they had bounced from church to church because the rainbow people kept coming in and planting their flags.

in her words "on our way out of the state as soon as we crossed into Oregon in our Uhaul, we felt an immediate relief like somebody had taken their hands off our throats for the first time in years."

Yes

I just spent a week in Portland, which is even more whacko. Once you are outside the thick of the city, people were really normal there
