Damn how poor are you tgat you have to have your kids work every day of the week? I understand wanting them to work because it teaches life lessons but to make them get a job where they don't have time to work around playing high school sports me and your either poor or don't care about your child enjoying their childhood

I'm going to let them play whatever they want to.

For the sake of God, Jesus and the fricking Holy Ghost, will y'all please stop raising these sissies.
Short of climbing electrical poles and juggling machetes - let your kids do fun shite that makes you uncomfortable.

Of course I'd let him be a kid
I did all three
Was too small for football but still gave it a run
Enjoyed boxing and it allowed me to learn the basics and able to protect myself to an extend
Dirt bikes were awesome until a shattered ankle
I turned out just fine

Boxing and dirt bikes are for white trash ripping Monster Energy drinks all day.
I will not let my son wear Oakleys or cargo shorts.

If he wants to do it then I'm all for it. The hysteria over football nowadays is absurd. I saw something the other day on the news where some dr is saying that football for kids should be considered child abuse. This included high school football as w

This. I played football in high school and my Dad actually let me race my old XR (once) when I was a kid.
It's no wonder to me why kids are such pansies these days.

Have a 6 year old that plays football and races. I expect a few broken bones will come from one or both as well. They heal quick and God intended. Your only young once.

Son had two concussions early in life. We never let him play football. He convinced us to let him play rugby in HS and fricker got a concussion during the last game of the season. Really disappointed because he was getting good but no more contact sports.

My kid is 9. He's played 3 seasons of football and enjoys it, but does it just for fun.
He's in his 3rd year of martial arts.
His absolute passion is motocross and loves racing. The kid eats, sleeps, and breathes motocross.
I grew up racing and reflect on that era as the best time of my life despite the injuries.
To this point he's experienced a broken arm and it hasn't slowed him down at all.
Of all the sports for a kid to play, there's no better sport for bonding with your child than motocross. You get to get out there and compete with them, learn along side of them, teach them riding and how to work on the bikes. The list goes on an on. There's no other sport like it.
