I know that this situation occurred with the people I bought my first house from. The next door neighbor couple moved to a country club community and the people who had our house followed soon after. They were eventually caught and it was very ugly.
Funny thing once we moved iin all my neighbors had known and had some wild stories about both couples. Seems everyone knew but the two cucks.

I have a fellow pilot acquaintance from Shreveport who did the same thing. Went on vacations together and kids birthdays, social thing.

My brother in law's best friend used to drink too much and would pass out very easily on many occasions. My BIL used to bang his wife in the same room where he was passed out. The couple had a second kid that apparently looks very similar to the BIL. They don't talk to each other anymore and the subject of the friend is never brought up either. I think my SIL knows what went on, but has overlooked it. They appeared to have moved on, but the BIL fricks other friends in the neighborhood now
