I am not in a hurry. But the order books are open for everything other than the GT. It’s the last variant they are going to produce. Right now availability isn’t until “late summer ‘21”. I’ll place my order once it opens.

I need a new weekend toy and electric will be better for the wife running around in traffic during the week.

No.

I have never driven a Mach E, but I think it's a pretty low bar to meet. I think the Mach E is probably a contender.

Again, I know nothing about it. But I'm sure it's better than other Fords.

Badging an SUV as a Mustang is not a good start.

I don't think it's an SUV. The profile looks more like a small hatchback.

So a fancy restyled electric Focus hatchback with a Mustang emblem?

You should check out Ken Block's 1400hp Mach-E he just built. Thing is crazy.

Looks like every other minivan-esque vehicle out there.

Pass.

I like the looks of it. Would drive around town, but i need my car to be able to go on road trips of at least 3-4 hours.

ETA though the touchscreen absolutely looks like an afterthought

Idk man, just watched the video, having owned a 65 and a 87 that thing is crazy but I never trust first gen cars, but sure I’d take it for a spin.

I, myself, look forward to the day when we have 65" TVs in our vehicles. It is going to be amazing!

I remember in the late 80s when Ford tried to redesign the Mustang to be more "sporty" looking with an energy efficient V6 standard. They basically turned the venerated Mustang into a Mazda MX6. All the Mustang nerds lost their minds, so Ford turned that car into the Probe.

Why mess with an iconic brand? Call it the Electric Pony or something.
