Wouldn't it actually give it less clicks. The posters that would embed from reddit are already on the site giving clicks. When they link something to it, and we blindly click, it gets a new click. By embedding, no longer need to click to see the content.
I see where twitter, YT, and even tiktok makes sense, because you are really only trying to show that video, image, short message... With reddit, you are linking to a thread to see the content and then also read comments. IMO, it doesn't make sense. You can easily post any allowable images, and can just copy/paste the content in the thread.
