What if I was already in the deep end when you came to try to put me in the deep in?

I would let my kid go but no, I wouldn’t host one.

I did as well. College age -- we were fine with it and the girls parents were as well except for one who didn't allow their child to come. Not sure how they're gonna say "no" when she's back at an apartment and does what she wants.
Had no issues before, during or after. No covid illness reported and it's been since July 4.
We also had an adult group of friends that had a get together. We stayed outside except for serving the food. Had a great time on the patio with some live music from those who were there. It was a group of right under 20.

West Monroe HS just had Sr week and they were all together for 6 days. They had the option to swim at all but two of the parties. There were a ton of them in one place for a week straight and so far I haven’t heard of anyone getting sick(if that’s your worry). These kids have been cooped up long enough, so I say let em party.

BTW, I know kids today are closer to their parents than when I was in HS.. Do kids still have parties they are not supposed to have that includes lots of alcohol, etc?
Never, they just get together and have Twitter parties while vaping and drinking alkaline water

We've let our HS and college age kids have about ten friends over for pool parties, whom they are already spending lots of time with. That is a degree of risk I am willing to take for my kids mental and social health. But no, I would not let them have over the senior class or 25-30 kids. That's pretty negligent in Louisiana at the moment, and how you end up on the local news like the NOLA parents who held a graduation party a couple of months ago that infected 50% of those who attended.

no, he wants to know why a grown man with no kids wants to know about having a kids pool party.

Not a parent, but if I was, I would 100% let them because I would never raise no bitches.

Would You Allow Your HS Kid To Have A Pool Party Right Now?
are you working under some stupid assumption that HS and college kids haven't been hanging out together? Maybe on the west coast they aren't, but i'm not sure what you were expecting from a bunch of a teenagers that can drive who haven't been in school for 6 months to be doing this whole time. They sure as shite haven't been self quarantining for this entire time.

If you had a senior in HS and a pool at your house, would you allow him/her to have a pool party for their senior class? (lets assume its a small school with 25-30 seniors).
I am not talking about in general, I am talking about with all this COVID shite going on
Covid is going to go away, sooner rather than later, but the resentment of not allowing your kid to enjoy what you and everyone else enjoyed at that age will last a lot longer than Covid ever did.

I’d pull you out and let you flop around like a bass on a wooden pier.

I'd allow them as long as everyone wore a mask in the pool.

one kid ends up with Covid you will be the a-hole
Wait, I thought that's what I was trying to do.

No. But that's because I don't want a whole bunch of teenage kids at my house whom I don't know.

If I'm a senior in HS, I'm not passing up hanging out with chicks in bikinis because I might get a virus that i essentially have a 100% chance of surviving. I probably would have just stayed away from my grandparents.
And If I'm his dad, I don't wanna miss seeing it either.
