Seriously, I think a couple of kids backed out at the last minute because of their parents. No big deal.

Yes, with no hesitation.

I don’t have high school kids, but I’ve had several pool parties this summer.

You’re overthinking, but I see your concern. I’d want to know these kids and their parents somewhat. If you have ONE Karen in the barrel and one kid ends up with Covid you will be the a-hole.

If I knew all parents reasonably? frick it. Shock the piss out of the pool and let them at it.

25-30 scares me regardless. I’d be afraid of a zero being added to that and finding out two kids screwed on my kitchen table.

If a chick has COVID and sucks my dick I don’t know if I can get it transmitted through my penis but I’m willing to take that risk

Oweo, do you have either of these things? If the answer is no, why is this the kind of thing you think about?

My 9th grader just had a school year kick off pool party last Saturday night. I do not currently have a senior but if I did it is safe to assume the answer would be yes.

No question about it, but I am talking about this from a parents POV.

Even if everyone shuts down having a party at their house, I would expect kids in HS to figure out something to have a get together to drink, etc.

BTW, I know kids today are closer to their parents than when I was in HS.. Do kids still have parties they are not supposed to have that includes lots of alcohol, etc?

Yes. Everyone knows the risks. If they want to come they can. Stats have shown that age group is not a real risk of getting the virus very bad.

No, but I have a nephew that is a senior and there is a senior pool party tomorrow and his mom hasn't decided whether she will let him go or not.

He started school this week. I don't see why its a big deal since he will be around people he has been around for a few days now.

Not that I owe you an explanation.. But is that a good enough reason for me to ask? If not please let me know so I can RA to have this thread removed because... You are upset that I started it.

I would allow it as long as kids brought some sort of permission slip from their parents to attend. The last thing I would want is some Karen beating down my door because she found out, after the fact, little Johny attended a pool party at my house.

Seriously, when did this board start having so many lil bitches?

"Oh.. Like why are you even starting this thread? What is your relation to the topic?"

If I start a thread asking something I have my own fricking reasons. If you got a problem with that then I suggest you just ignore me.

Do you go around questioning other people why they started the thread they started?

Look, I don't know you, but from what I've gathered from your known history, I assumed both were false. So I was curious about the train of thought that led to starting this thread.

Your answer makes sense. Carry on. ETA: and calm down

We'd have been parked out on the sandbar down Frenchtown Road if we couldn't have pool party. Our parents wouldn't have stopped anything.

This is what I mean. If you invite a senior class, I would think that you have to anticipate there would be a few who would not tell their parents (but then again parents can track their kids phones, etc. Its a different time). And if their parents wouldn't let them attend, then more than likely they don't agree with the parent that allowed the party..

If I were a parent and had a pool, I don't think I would allow a gathering bigger than a few friends just because you never know what a kid's parents would do if their kid is seriously hurt at your house

When I was younger, my brother and some kids from the neighborhood were playing in our front yard. One kid was running, stepped into a small hole, he fell on his arm and broke it.

A few months later my parents home insurance went up enough for them to look into why it had gone up so much.. That's when they found out that kid's parents sued my parents insurance company. If a kid happens to test positive for COVID and gets really sick they can only assume they got it from the party so I guess they can't take legal action, but I am just curious as to how parents feel about this.

Well thanks for your approval it makes me feel so much better you think this.

Next time, all you have to worry about is that I have MY reason for asking. Got it kid?
