For sure. I could get by eating a large publix sub or a large Chipotle burrito each day.

someone told me the other day they went to the grocery store and got a 1.5 lbs of lunch meat and it cost almost $13.00. That's steep.

A pound of Boar's Head London Broil will cost you about $20 at Publix these days.

The average American adult spends about $59.19 per week (or roughly $236 per month) on restaurants, takeout, and delivery

Could I make it last with mobile app deals? Sure.

And, I really only need to eat once per two days. So, under these 2 stipulations, yep I could do it

Thats assuming every meal was eating out.... I could spend 0 dollars eating out and not starve, I would just be eating at home or brining meals with me.

I spend more than $60 on just my wife and I at one meal when eating out. Add in my kids and it's usually over $100 each time, which is why we barely eat out anymore. Way cheaper to cook at home.
this 1000% when we need to "cut back" for a month, we stop eating out.

Only if 69 cent quarter pound Rally burgers still existed. I could eat all weekend on $5 in college and save the rest of my money for drinking. That and the super cheap Gattis buffet got me through many weekends.

It doesn't say you have to eat all your meals on that amount. Just the ones that you eat out.

Yes. My wife and I usually eat out every 2 weeks and split a pizza and an app for around $25.

This scene from American Beauty randomly popped up on X the other day.

They order two combo meals from a fast food joint, and it cost $7.98.

That sounded very cheap, so I looked it up, and a Quarter Pound Combo Meal from McDonalds was $2.99 in 1999.

That same combo meal is $11.29 today. A 277% increase.

5 kids, I think the Wendy's 4 for 4 is 4 for 6 now. That's 30 and a combo for me and the wife easily puts that to 60. No. Which is why we only eat out for a kids birthday, our bday, and anniversary and we still noticed a decline in some restaurants we like going to. We use a lot more ground turkey than ground beef now and steaks are a thing of the past. Just cant justify the prices.

In that case, easily. Don't go out that often.

That's high as eagle pussy.

Remember during covid everyone was like "the price is going on on everything but its only temporary".. And now you can't go into a store to grab a few things for under $100.
