Went to a twin peaks type place called Bombshells in Webster Tx. Was during a huge car meet, we told them a hundred or so people were coming. Place was slammed. One of the guys at our table ordered a burger. After waiting over an hour our food came but his didn't. Waitress told us, "We gave it to some other table accidentally, I can put it in but you will go back to the back of the order line, it wouldn't be fair to everyone else to get your food first" Which is the most backwards arse thing I have ever heard. I LIT that skank UP. When I was done with her I went to the front, got the manager and chewed him a new one as well.

Was about 7 or 8 years ago, so I can't remember which restaurant it was. Almost definitely either Vincent's or Austin's in Metairie, but it could have been a similar place in the area.

Anyway, it was Christmas eve dinner. Place was packed (we had been there the previous Christmas Eve, so we knew what to expect). We had a reservation for a large table around 7PM. Get seated around 8. Not too big a deal since a lot of the family is getting tipsy at the bar. The waiter takes drink orders fairly quickly. About 45 minutes later, he still hasn't shown up. We've told a few other waiters about the situation, but they're working their asses off to take care of their own sections, so we're not expecting super swift action. Finally, come 9PM, the manager comes out and tells my family (about 15 people) that our waiter had quit and that he didn't have enough staff to take care of us. Luckily my gamgam, who lived nearby, had quite a bit of finger sandwiches and whatnot to feed everyone.

If they had comped some of our drinks, we may have made going to the place a tradition. Manager basically said tough shite, so we stopped after year two.

That's how I am.

I have a buddy who rides waitstaff like he's a plantation owner. It's pretty annoying to watch.

A place called the Butcher's Block in East Texas had us waiting about 2 hours after we placed our orders and we finally left. This was about 15 to 20 years ago, and I don't know if the restaurant is still there.

Was at a Twin Peaks in Waco in March.

I asked for an Arnold Palmer and all hell broke loose.

I don't want to talk about it anymore....

I once ordered food and it just never arrived. I complained 3-4 times about it to the waitress and it still never came. So I walked out without paying and went to Whataburger

Worst ever for me was at Boutin's on Bluebonnet (since closed, go figure). Was there with my wife, child, and in-laws. There were about ten tables seated there. In my approximately hour and a half there, I never saw any other table receive food. Waitress could not answer a single question we had about any item on the menu and she never offered to find out the answers. Never got our food. It was the only time we ever walked out of a place without waiting for entrees.

Had a similar experience at twin peaks in Lafayette. I walked to the bar twice to get my own beer. When they switched shifts the other waitress was much better. I didn't eat there so I can't comment on the food.

Olive Garden, Tupelo, MS. May 3, 2015

Wife and I were headed back to Arkansas after watching the spring race at Talladega. Apparently the folks in Tupelo expect you to come into their Olive Garden in your Sunday best. Waitress totally blew us off and waited on the other tables and ignored us the whole night. Took forever to place a drink order, took forever to get an appetizer to our table, and she refused to check for refills.

After we were done with our meal I expressed my displeasure with the manager, paid my bill, Left a .02 tip and a note that said here is my two cents, you suck as a waitress.

Sad thing is her judging cost her my standard 25% tip for good service.

Pinetta's and Pinetta's again.

About 30 years ago took a date to Pinetta's. Service was horrible, although I don't remember specifics. I left a one penny tip just to make sure they knew I thought about the tip and wasn't just a cheapskate.

Went back a year or so ago with a group of 6 people. They refused to put two tables together to seat us, even though they were empty. A table in the corner that was almost big enough opened up and we were seated there underneath the only air conditioner in the place which blew directly on the table. They would never put the 4-person tables together and move us - saying they needed the space for new customers. No new customers ever came in and the 4-person tables were empty the rest of the night.

My lasagna was pretty good, but I think I was the only one who enjoyed the food. I will never return.

At prime steakhouse at bellagio. We had someone with us that had a tree nut allergy. We had called ahead and made arrangements with the managers to let them know of the allergy. When we arrived, we went over the allergy again with the waiter and he assured us the meal would be ok. First theing they bring out is bread, with walnuts. Had to hurry up and leave, and the security came to get a state, ment. Was the biggest guy I had ever seen, but was super nice. Greatest birthday dinner ever.

Deangelos on coursey. Waitress took forever to take our drink orders so finally the hostess got them for us. Waitress shows up maybe 20 minutes after we sit. Takes our order, guy from the kitchen brings our food out. We ate our entire meal with empty glasses on our table and then waited about 15 minutes after we were finished eating before we asked another waitress if she could grab our check. Our waitress came and put the check on the table, never apologized or offered drinks. It was the only time we've not left a tip.

I thought the nut allergy in the air thing is a myth.

DeAngelo's is a shell of its former self. The one on Jefferson closed, poorly run operation.

Easy.

Buffalo Wild Wings by campus.

Not once but many times. The location is the only reason I/family/friends even go there (we don't anymore).

I have, several times, had to go grab my own beer sitting on the bar waiting for the server because he/she was not around...and this is at 4 pm on a weekday.

They also had a server get pissy with us because we wanted to turn the channel from a San Diego Padres vs. Arizona DiamondBacks spring training game to the LSU basketball game. He acted as if we were demanding that we had the right to gang-frick his girlfriend.

Also, Saints/Eagles playoff game in 2014 -- took 30 minutes for the server to come to our table for anything whether it was extra ranch, a beer, or a refill.

Also, the bearded man, sitting at the bar reading the paper, who smokes his pipe outside and gets absolutely arse-faced full of liquor doesn't help the situation.
