I had a 17 hour flight from Dallas to Seoul.

3 more hours would have been nothing.

La to Fiji was like 12 hours. I had flown from DC to LA to get on that flight.

New York to Amsterdam and literally had to run to my connecting flight to Johannesburg... Around 23 hours of flight time with about 15 minutes in between flights.

I read about a guy who thought he was getting on the plane to Oakland. Turned out, he was going to Auckland.

Traveled to the Middle East for many years.

Dubai to Houston direct flight was 16+ hours.

Beat laying over in Germany for many hours but still was a brutal flight.

over 14 hours...Sydney to San Francisco...lots of water, wine and sleep aid.
Los Angeles to Auckland....over 13 hours. Woke up 4 hours in after drinking a bottle of wine and taking a sleep aid. I felt like I had slept for a day. The next 9 hours were surreal and weird. Basically the whole plane was asleep aside from me and the attendants.

Their advice: drink water every time they offer and get up and stretch/ walk if awake each time you get water. Makes life so much better...especially with a drastic time change. It works.

14 hours to Melbourne. Not as bad as I thought it would be. 8 hours sleeping with a sleep aid.

Yeah I made that trip when I was 18. Thinking back on it, I don't think I got a minute of sleep.

9 hours Houston to London.

F 20 hours! I couldn't sleep on the damn 9 hour flight. I wonder what the work rotation for the pilots is? I assuming 4 to 6 pilots on board? 1 team for 10 hours then rotate?

Around 8.5 from Houston to Honolulu. Wasn’t all that bad since it was on the way to the vacation. The flight back to LAX was around 5-6 hours but it was a redeye. I couldn’t sleep. Then a short layover and another 3 hours to Houston. I think I was close to death in the Houston airport. No sleep and I had spent 9 of the last 10 hours on a plane. And still had to connect back to Birmingham.

flew first class Singapore to London . about 14 hours. sleep most of the way. the most severe irritant on long distant flight is a person that snores. its worse than a baby crying. I snore badly. first class into Bangkok, I work up with half the passengers throwing magazines and pillows at me

My longest flight was Dallas to Tokyo, about 13.5 hours. I’ll be doing Houston to Istanbul soon which is 12 hours. The return is 13 hours. I’ve done countless 8-9 hour trans-Atlantic flights.

Honestly, since you can now watch movies whenever you want (and there are 20-30 to choose from and TV shows, etc) it’s pretty manageable.
