Working from home and seeking a high level position?

Tell me how this is possible. I get entree to maybe (not always) senior level positions being able to take instructions. How do you groom and learn to communicate constructively by sitting at home in your pajamas?
How is that possible?
Stop job hunting and switching companies for a 3-5k range. What’s your end goal? You get in your 30s and peak without knowing anything at all?
Be patient, work your arse off. Hard work always gets recognized. That is all.

My wife is a program manager and works from home. She’s busy AF during the day.

Not all WFH jobs are the same. Sorry you work in sales but there are plenty of executive level positions that work for a home office.

When I was as an analyst, I completely wanted 5 days at home. As a manager, I want 5 days in office.

Didn’t you commit return fraud at academy?

Every fricking time. I blame my parents for teaching me good work ethic.
I have zero desire to climb the corporate ladder.
I like exactly where I am. I have one also millenial/young Genx (this is important) manager above me, an owner I talk to a few times a year. I don't have to manage anyone. Make enough to be plenty comfortable with no stress, all from home.

Same. I made good money in sales. Now I am gliding into retirement like Berg glides into the weekend.

I run a multi-million dollar business by myself….from home. Been doing it since 2004.

I’m with you there. Funny thing is being in a meeting with one of “those” (the ones in the office everyone knows about), that come all out with the stupid kiss arse crap every meeting. I tell them they can have all that glory they want, they are not competing against me, just please shut up so we can get out sooner.

Until the dryer buzzer goes off and she needs to water the garden. Working from home is bullshite

How is that any different than a coworker walking in and asking if you saw the game last night? Or you walking to the break room for coffee and someone asking about your kids? Or your boss coming tell you about the new truck he just bought?
I would rather waste time on house chores than stupid watercooler chat.

Hard work doesn't matter if you are not working smarter.

What? Does someone hate you so much that they left for any other comparable job they could find?

My eval history over the last 3 years:
2022 - Meets expectations
2023 - Exceeds expectations
2024 - Exceptional (highest - only 2% of company can get it)
Just asked for senior status and got it approved with a 20% base pay increase and a +5% target bonus.
Hard work is recognized when you sell yourself.

I am a program manager too. I’d hate having to do that wfh full time (I’m mainly onsite now). When I was in engineering management, I was hybrid. I do miss that setup but the PM bonus structure makes it worth my while to be on-site every day.
And to the douche OP, your trolling is lame. Every job is different and a one size fits all approach to people is bad leadership.

"It's cheaper to keep her" - it applies to marriage and employees.
Most places would rather pay you more than deal with the money and hassle of replacing you.
But they aren't going to do it unless you make them
