There seem to be two categories.

Folks who hear words incorrectly and "repeat" accordingly: e.g., supposively

And the folks who read words that are not used in their social circles, and they guess wrong on pronunciation: e.g., epitome pronounced ep eh tome.

Too many idiots:

-- Don't know how to use the words "rein" and "reign"

-- Don't know how to spell "ridiculous"

Was just reminded of one that grates on me. I have noticed a recent trend of people writing "all of the sudden" instead of "all of a sudden". Not sure why but it really bothers me when I see it. I've never noticed it in spoken word, though.

When a kid it was, "next store" instead of "next door".

I had tubes in my ears when I was a baby.

What annoys the shite out of me.
"AnywayS"
Its fricking "anyway". Whats with the fricking "S" at the end?

My step dad still talks about when I was a kid. I was being a little shite and wouldn't leave his buddy alone to play cards. He said I'll give you an ultimatum, leave or get a whipping.

He saw me digging around in the fridge and asked what I was doing.

I told him I would take the old tomato.

.....for all intents and purposes

My mind was blown when I learned I'd said it wrong my entire life.

Hate when people use the term "get my _____ on".

As in "Get my eat on" or "Get my Swole on"

People at work say brought instead of bought. Same people say click instead of clit.
