The old tech way is still the best way to meet people.
Yeah and internet can actually facilitate this through group activities and hobby meetups and social meetups.

Social media as a whole has fricked perception of everything. Most people are glued to it, but it only shows you extremes. With relationships, you only see the best things - pictures of happy people in weddings, vacations, family photos, fun events, etc. You don’t see pictures of families struggling with juggling two children’s after school activities, work, school, financial troubles, taking care of their elderly parents, etc etc etc. Social media has destroyed perception of real life for many people, and that has profound consequences. “The grass is always greener on the other side” has gone ballistic and people actually believe it at much higher rates than previously. Now people in all different aspects of life see regular living and throw it away to try to upgrade to the perfect image. Relationships, jobs, cars, houses, you name it
I noticed this several years back, that people seem to have this "all or nothing" mindset to life. They are okay with anything but an average middle of the road life. Chase the most attractive people possible, the richest people, the highest paying jobs, etc. Anything less than the best you could get materialistically is considered a failure. Nobody thinks about what sort of person/life actually fits them and everyone thinks they're meant for the best you can get.
I guess we can't be surprised when the generation with that mindset grew up with songs like "Get rich or die tryin'" mindset. You can see it in the way people portray themselves on social media, glamorous vacations and nights out and relationship posts. They want to project a life of fulfillment and affluence at the same time.

So I have to keep “schmoozing, buying jewelry, listening to constant complaints, expensive vacations, buying cars, buying a house, buying furniture, going to expensive shitty restaurants so she can brag on Facebook and drowning in debt” just in the hopes of sticking my dick in that snot hole once every 6 months…forget ever getting a blowjob.

Do today's women offer men a poor cost/benefit proposition?
They do. The loose divorce laws have a lot to do with it. Once she has a kid or 2 she can divorce him and have everything paid for for 18 years.

Men are just as bad consumers. Women aren’t buying boats or guns or trucks or 4wheelers or high end beers/wines/bourbons

Their just mimicking behavior, with no real idea how to bond. They'd be better off with an arranged marriage.

Also, the most overlooked aspect is that men have been saying these things for years. It takes a woman saying it for it to gain traction.

While I don't necessarily disagree with her premise in very broad strokes, I hate quick cut videos. That channel puts out tons of content, and I can't seem to find the full form version of this discussion. Has anyone seen it?

Most people are incredibly superficial. If you look at their list of requirements for a mate, its laughable.

The easiest answer is just dont get married
You dont have to get married
In fact it makes no logical sense why anyone would willingly give the government more control over their finances with odds so poor as marriage. Unless your entire goal is to make money on it.
Its completely fricking insane full stop
The minor tax implications for a band of the population isnt worth it for even them.
There is no other benefit that you cannot hash out legally without getting married

Judging every single woman as being exactly the same is complete bullshite. Same thing with men. I have dated a variety of men and most were not the same at all.
I am not a bitch, not a bimbo, not materialistic, not shallow, not selfish, or any of this crap most women get accused of being.
I am loving, thoughtful, compassionate, and enjoy making a man’s life better not worse. End of rant.

I think most people understand, at least on some level, that they don't realistically deserve a mate who ticks all of their boxes. They will obviously con their way into it if they can, but deep down, they know.
The majority of humans on this planet aren't particularly attractive, or wealthy, or interesting. That's simply mathematical fact. And if you're looking for all three in a single package, the return for that search query is in the low single digits of the entire human population. And yet, nearly the entire human population is looking for a mate.

Actually, no. If sex work was legal and widely available, the dating scene would likely improve. Both sexes would have to bring more to the table than good looks and lust; people would have to be much more serious with what they really want.
After all, what’s the point of striking out on Tinder if you could get what you wanted around the corner in under an hour?

I’m not sure if women know what they want. Doctors are often held up as an ideal husband because they earn a lot and it’s a socially prominent profession. Yet, wives of many doctors cheat on them like crazy with lower-income guys.
