If polygamy were legal, ordinary Joe's might be totally locked out of the reproduction system.
Which is why polygamy eventually fails in societies. The males left out of the sex pool get angry and violent. This causes collapse and moves the powers that be to eliminate polygamy.
Powerful men will always want all the trim to themselves. But since it will ultimately lead to destruction most countries reject it. Many examples throughout history of this happening.

Spot on. I try to keep my bitterness from my son, but I don't think he's EVER going to marry.

There's a lot of trash on both sides. I think this video takes a reductive, dim view on things, and feeds into Incel ideology.
If you are shite, you will attract shite (or nothing).

I'm sure they are, and I am not looking on Tinder.

Guys: don’t be a fat lazy shite who makes no effort and then bitch that women expect too much.
I'm trying to be the best person I can be --- for myself because, at the end of the day, I have to be. It's up to me to find my own happiness and growth.
If someone wants to be a part of this and I am in a headspace where i want that, I'll let things play out. If it works, great. It if doesn't, great because I know I will be okay.

Women will leave when they find s perceived upgrade.
Women and men will leave what they have if they think what they're going to is better. This doesn't necessarily mean another person, although many times it does.
This is why problems continue on in their new relationship. Not addressing them, and not addressing the internal struggles every one of us deals with.
Once the new and shiny wears off, and it always does, that person is left with an emptiness mostly because they didn't take the necessary time to make changes to themselves and rushed into the next "great" thing.

She's correct. I love my wife (sometimes) but I don't get anything out of my marriage. Most of the time, I would rather be single, except there's the issue of my kids. Why would I end my marriage to see my kids less and pay money to do it?

At some point it's the man's fault for marrying. After 2 marriages a woman should be considered almost untouchable. Maybe you get to know her and there's a little more going on, but still.
I had a girlfriend with 4 kids once. She was hot and had a good personality, but 4 kids from 2 different fathers. There's no reality where I would have ever married her.

From a biological perspective, absolutely.
A woman (no matter how high value) can only have one offspring (barring twins, etc.) every nine months, and she will eventually lose her ability to reproduce.
A high value man can potentially father thousands of offspring and can maintain his ability to reproduce until death.
Women are more interested in marriage because it fits their biology. They couldn’t have any more kids with a thousand men than they could with one, and marriage gives them 100% of a man’s resources.
Now you may like the companionship of marriage or believe in it for religious reasons, but from an evolutionary perspective, it’s not ideal for a high value man. The instinct of a high value man is to be a Chad
If you want to go this route, you can make a strong counter argument that divorce courts need to be designed to eviscerate men, because if high value men are allowed to father as many bastard children on as many women as they want, our society and gene pool will suffer, so there must be extreme consequences on a man abandoning his mate and child.

American women have been hoodwinked by 4th wave feminism. Most aren't worth a relationship.
Well this started a while back with books like "The Rules," followed by magazines like Cosmopolitan and movies. They've all done women a huge disservice IMO.
They emphasize the skills needed to get a relationship, but very little on how to maintain healthy relationships, at least not based on introspection. It's if you're not happy in your relationship, no need to work on it, go find happiness somewhere else.
